i really think they need to move the line back and widen the court a bit.

i feel like with the market pretty tight, the bird rights are worth more than coattail rep. if not, the league needs to take a look at the rules. this an in-prime player on a max deal who hasn't been injured. simply buying him out would be unheard of, right?

The way I think about this is that this line of reasoning assumes that he has certain value/cache based on his contract. However, a lot of second contracts are based on promise and not his actual performance which has sucked. In other words, would it all be surprising that a player is brought out who was literally traded away for bag of chips (Brandon knight, john henson, and a second round picks. So two scrubs who I think are out of the league and not even a first rounder)?

In addition, right now the Cavs future is with Jarrett Allen at C, not Drummond, and to say the chemistry is nose diving with a guy trying to showcase his "skills" is not going well.

i agree that second contracts are bloated. but were any of those guys cut before theirs ended? you remove yourself from S&T options, at the very least.

6-30 from three. the trend is disturbing.

is just shows you that the Lakers start with low energy and are practically sleepwalking out there early on. Being down by 20, winning by double digits... yeah. More focus please.

Lakers don't respect these opponents . They will keep doing this until they lose a game .

They're bored , especially at home and I think some of it is fatigue too.

Defending champions , no fans , you know you have a switch and playing against teams you don't care about . Nothing surprising

The only thing that can stop our team is injuries. They better get on top of managing AD's foot issues before it ends up costing them big time.

at denver on national tv with the way we've been struggling against bad teams isn't a good recipe. curious to see how they come out, but it can't be like it's been against okc and mem and det.

The offense has been terrible lately ... Too much deferring to Lebron , bricked 3s like never before and poor sets .

Dennis needs to get his Rondo on and starts disregarding Bron when he has a favorable switch .

And Run some freaking PNR with Harrell !!!!

6-28 from three. this was going to bite us against non-bottom feeders. you can't win shooting that poorly from three, and it was pretty amazing that we had been.

    1) This team could use some rest , the ASG break is going to be nice
    2) The lack of offense , even without AD and Dennis , is problematic , couldn't even use Trez properly

    3) The main takeaway of this matchup against BK : can't make the 3-4 mistakes we made against Harris , got to limit him to 12-14 pts

I think this team is physically and mentally tired: none of the final four teams from last year are playing all that well right now.

They were in the bubble the longest and have a turnaround time that was 1 to 2 months shorter. Other teams actually had a proper off-season.

Suspect that is a big reason the jumpers aren't falling

    8-30

this is the only stat that really matters, tbh. we can harp on other stuff, but we make even a respectable number of threes, we take this game, maybe the denver game, too, and we don't play overtime against all the dregs of the league.

i'm not sure i've ever seen such a prolonged, team-wide shooting slump. it's bizarre.

Yeah, I was just talking with a friend about this. It's like when one guy goes cold for us (looking at you KCP!!) then ALL the rest of the shooters start slumping. I would think that if one guy sucks, another guy would step it up and pick up the slack. But for them all to go cold at once? It's a bit unnerving. I mean we are ICE cold right now. And have been for a couple weeks going.

The month by month 3% is a nightmare. They have to figure it out at some point.

Yep, 28% from the 3pt line tonight is not gonna get it done. Energy and effort were also not there consistently. Even with AD and Dennis out, this was a very winnable game against the Heat.

You would think Bron is some random rookie off the bench the way he can't get any calls.

Not pissed about the rest , AD can dribble better than most of our perimeter players . LMAO
