Mr. Scott is here to STAY! He's a defensive genius, great motivator, x's & o's specialist and a "father figure" to all of our young guys. Everyone on our team would go to war with/for Mr. Scott. Who needs Thibs, Luke, Hollins, Ollie and so on, when we have a true GEM on our side. Just open your eyes, try to fall in love with his genius and accept it. It's easier that way...

I hear he already turned them down once and has little love for them now.

I honestly feel like the next year is make it or break it for this franchise. Are they going to make the necessary moves and changes to ensure we are on the path back to the promise land or are we going to be stuck in mediocrity for the next couple years. This season has been the lowest of lows for me as a fan and I've honestly stopped caring about watching the games, I just watch the Cachooka highlight videos (thanks man). We suck our there with a more talented team than the past couple yet we might not win as many games. It sucks, it really does and I honestly don't have faith in the FO to fix this.

This was the worst game I've seen all season. Just horrid. It was embarrassing to lose against Philly but at least we showed up and were in that game. This one was just a putrid stink turd. Utah was banged up, missing most of their starters. We had no excuse. But we just completely sucked.

I haven't been watching for awhile now. I won't until Byron starts playing the youngsters or the Lakers fire Byron.

I watched about 5 minutes of the game last night in the 2nd quarter and decided if I wanted to see a team struggle to break 40 points by halftime, I'd go to a boys high school basketball game. Roy and Kobe just kill the starting unit. Kobe's hurt, but wants to play this last season out (I understand his view on that) but he's killing the team out there and Roy, what the hell Roy?

Dude is over 7 feet and he gets jumped over for a board by Gobert in a situation where Roy has no reason not to get that board? And then he gives up an and-1? Come on son.

I'm not going to defend roy too much, but I think it's got to be hard on a vet to show up in this situation. he was just shaking his head at a couple of randle's miscues on either end last night.

mentally, he's a bit fragile, and getting your brains beaten in each night won't help that.

I'd cut him more slack if he could catch the ball or had a single polished post move.

Good guy, bad fit, and a great example of an overpaid 7'er

eh, I still like hibbert. maybe the game has passed him by (though it wasn't long ago that he gave the newfangled heat the business), but I think he's a pro who shows up to play each night. I think it requires a VERY specific set of circumstances for him to shine, and the lakers certainly do not provide that.

I ain't mad at him, though.

really, the only person I'm mad at is scott, with a hat tip to management for paying kobe a cajillion dollars after the Achilles injury and hiring a string of awful coaches.

Hibbert is out only interior defender. As long as he does that I'm fine with him.

Ryan Kelly is garbage and the fact he was playing over Tarik is a travesty. What a joke. The guy literally gave us nothing. He cannot play. Just like Huertas or Sacre. Neither of those scrubs should be playing significant minutes.

I think Ryan Kelly starting to get playing time, Black unable to get on the floor except for when Bass is hurt or in garbage time, and getting blown out game after game lately makes "FML" a wholly appropriate subtitle for this thread. I'm starting to be reminded of the final stretch of the last 'Antoni season, the start to Brown's final season, it's time for B0ron to go. Sick of this s*** already, I don't even care to watch. We're a joke and the road back to being respectable needs to start very soon, or we aren't attracting any free agents here. Even 2nd tier guys don't want to play on a s*** team for a lot of money.

Yep I'm definitely getting that feeling. Most of the time the team looks like the last month of senior year out there. Nobody paying much attention anymore. Not a lot of ball movement and even less man movement.

If the players don't care, why should I care?

Biggest WMC: Kelly getting minutes over Tarik Black. F*** you Byron. Tarik isn't "making strides" as a player? What the f*** has Kelly done to earn minutes? What has he done to improve his game?

I can't stand the total random standards Byron has for our players. It's like a total guessing game. I feel bad for players like Black, who are like the energizer bunny out there but Byron says they play with no energy. Obviously he doesn't watch the games from the sidelines. I guess he's planning on getting a job with ESPN after he's fired. Since you don't have to watch the games to work there either.

Not sure what to even add to the discussion at this point. I've been griping about playing time for our young guys since the first game. Nothing has changed on that front. If anything he may have gotten worse. His moves have no rhyme or reason. He throws guys under the bus to the media at any moment. Just enough with all of this.

I agree, it's almost gotten to the point of no return in terms of watchability. We've gone from outrage and anger with Boron's seemingly arbitrary lineups and demotion of the kids to numbness because nothing has changed. Boron said he might insert the youngsters back in the starting unit after the New Year, but nope.

I could only stomach the first quarter of the Jazz game and I didn't even tune in for Houston. TWC Lakers channel viewership is hurting for a reason. The product stinks. And I say this even though I really like our team and players.

Us tuning out is basically the only way to make them fix it LJ. If we continue to sit there and consume their terrible product, they'll continue to provide us with a terrible product. Everyone says the worst place to be is a middling team that is paying too much for a team that can't win (Cavs/Clippers).

    No.

The worst place to be is three straight seasons of under 20 something wins and the strong possibility of losing the pick that you're tanking for while not playing the young guys and dedicating the entire season to your 20 year veteran who is always on the edge of never playing again from some catastrophic injury while your coach continues to do nothing to put this team in a place to succeed and the ownership takes no responsibility for where we're headed and instead continues to feed the fans lines of bull**** in order to justify them cashing in on ticket sales while their empire continues to collapse and unravel.

Is this the lowest point in the history of this long and storied franchise (other than the unexpected retirement of Magic and the deaths of Chick and Doc Buss)?

    I think it is.
