Yeah. I'm still a fan. Always will be. But that was brutal man. Lol. And while I'm going to ride it out, I can't promise I'll be staying up anymore to watch those west coast games. No more being groggy and tired all day at work from watching those guys lose. lol

Nailed it. Obviously we're all Laker fans and will remain so, but the only way to make this stop is to tune out. Less viewers means less money which is at this point our last hope of getting them to change. Losing isn't doing it. Embarrassment isn't doing it. Maybe losing viewers and ticket sales will do it.

I'm not going to be watching these games unless there's a reason to. My time is too valuable to waste on a bad a product.

Wow. When the Lakers are playing so bad that it kills real's spirit?!? You know it's bad. That was a great post real, something I think all of us are feeling. These are dark times indeed.

Yeah, she wants Phil in the Front Office and her brother gone. At the same time, Phil's contract has an opt-out, Jim's deadline for contention is up...coincidence? Of course not.

Byron was a Jeannie and Jim compromise, was a bridge back to the 80's, and was someone purportedly that Jerry wanted to hire at one point in time. Funny this is Byron's coaching is accelerating Jim's departure, while pushing Phil through that front door in Los Angeles.

Phil ain't coming back. When he leaves the Knicks it will be him retiring. We need to fix this mess on our own which means Jeanie needs to fire EVERYONE.

I don't want Phil back. However, if you don't think Jeannie is trying to undermine her brother to get Phil back in the FO then I don't know what to tell you. Pincus has laid that out himself...

i'm ok with not having phil. i'm not sure the knicks should be the subject of lakers' fan envy, either. melo's already in decline, zinger doesn't project to be significantly better than any of the lakers' young trio (imo), and they're not currently that good.

Having Jackson in the mix will further add to the dysfunction already there. We are still in a transition period from 24. The Lakers will have to start fresh. Likely new coach and more players in the draft to complement the Russell-Randle-Clarkson trio.

I didn't post that article because I want Phil. I posted it to point out that Jeanie is STILL talking about this. She reiterates that Jim and Mitch didn't want any more voices in the FO, essentially continuing to pass blame off on them. I posted it to point out how no matter if our FO says they are on the same page, in reality they remain a mess and if Jeanie had her way, Phil would be in Jim's current position.

Stephen A and Lazenby both mentioned something very troubling on separate days and on separate radio stations earlier this week. Both said something along the lines: "Lakers fans don't realize how dysfunctional ownership/the FO is and how much it's negatively impacting the entire franchise, including the team, and that FAs and the league are well aware of this and reluctant to sign up for this crap."

...and all this show of stability and clarified responsibilities since last season is just that? A show? That clear the air meeting? Really... Time to sell if the Buss clan can't manage this. They are only hurting the franchise.

Pincus was on LG about a month ago; I PMed Elgin and still do with a bunch of stuff that comes from there. I don't do it for this board (don't want any trouble), but I'll post this one time with a link; Pincus said the following about a month ago. If you mods want me to delete this, I will.

'Jim has to succeed by his merits on the court with the players they put together in short time - I am not optimistic for his survival here. Lakers are putting the pieces together but this is a long process.

I do expect things to go sour before Jim's clock - and for Jeanie to bring back Phil after the lockout - as prez.

It'll be up to Mitch and Ryan West if they want to stick around under a Phil regime. West's father Jerry obviously disliked Phil - bad blood there - not sure Ryan wants to stick around for that.

Mitch - i wouldn't be shocked if he retired but maybe he sticks around - obviously TBD given it's if's on if's on if's

Scott, if still around, would be replaced by Phil's triangle people - and frankly they probably have success - much of what's built upon what Jim and the current management adds over this down period.

That's my take on the Lakers' future but who knows - things change rapidly in the NBA.'

Given the state of the Lakers franchise, I thought this would give you guys more insight
