Popovich couldn't get that d league, injury riddled team of ours to 30 wins last year.

That's not the point. The point is when we seen principles from a scheme perspective and habits that Scott is infamously known for that never changed last year; those arguing he was 'tanking' might have had a legitimate case after Kobe when down for good; nonetheless, after watching last season in great detail, I knew Scott didn't change and still remained a horrible choice for the Lakers FO...not only that, I mentioned often that he would be the biggest impediment to the team this year.

Edit: Kenzo has been on the 'fire Byron' bandwagon since last year as well...

^I was never a fan of the hiring either. When he was hired I thought he was an average coach. After last season, I thought he was a mediocre coach. This season, I feel he's in the bottom 3 coaches in the NBA.

I'm at a loss with this team. Because of Byron's lineups and weird substitution patterns, I feel no cohesion between any one unit. None with the starters, none with the bench, everyone is mostly doing their own thing. I see Clarkson, Russell and Huertas trying. I see Young and Lou doing ok together, I like what I'm seeing from Hibbert and Randle, but they aren't doing it together. It's either all Randle, all Clarkson, all Lou, etc. Only thing I can come away with is we are that poorly coached. In the past even if the starters sucked we had a nice chemistry with some bench guys, or certain lineups, I see almost none with anyone on this team. I thought these guys would play together and thus be fun to watch at least, but they aren't, and I blame the coach.

There is no identity to this team. No playbook, offensive or defensive. No leadership on the court or in the locker room. What we have are 15 basketball players that are just thrown out there every night and we hope stumble onto something. Are we embracing the future or holding onto the past? It's a mess guys.

Kobe is going out gunning and that continues to be a bad thing.

I too see the young guys trying but there is just a lot of selfish ball going on out there. When we move the ball around we get good looks for guys but it doesn't happen often enough.

Byron simply doesn't know how to rotate guys in and out. He especially likes to take out the hot hand.

This is just bad and we can't make a coaching change soon enough.

It looks like pick up basketball out there and the substitution are terrible. I'm not looking forward to 10 more games with these lineups.

Everyone has such a sour, disheveled look on their faces when they come out of a timeout. It's like they either didn't understand what Byron had told them, or they just don't care. It's sad...

We are going to lose a lot of games guys. And its mostly going to be because of coaching.

Whenever Byron leaves, I hope the young fellas can quickly forget anything they "learned" from Coach Scott.

They will, just like guys forgot anything they learned from Potato Head one game after he was fired. Coincidental they are almost like the same coach to me. No offense, preach defense but don't see results, and horrible lineups.

Oh, and this isn't tanking. Last year was tanking and we legitimately had a bad team. This is a team that should be able to get 30 to 35 wins and maybe with the right guy running the show compete for the playoffs.

There will be talk about Kobe's age, our youth, etc, but this really is on the coaching staff.

We have no coaching staff, that's a huge part of the problem. We have Byron, Madsen, and some guys in suits I couldn't name if my life depended on it.

I don't count Worthy, or Murray. Worthy isn't on the bench during games telling Byron his lineups are s***.

You know, if we can't fire Byron, I wish we could at least spin it positive and get James Worthy to give up his TWC gig and take a seat next to Byron? It couldn't hurt.
