    Your concerns are legitimate but you can't argue against the no-nonsense culture Byron has brought to this team. That is huge for our young core. He's a great coach to teach discipline for an up-and-coming team.

    You're right though. He probably won't take us to the promise land.

    I know the advantages of Byron or has been argued: stresses professionalism, gets these guys to work hard, shows them to pride in wearing the purple and gold.

    Great. Anyways, I won't get into any further discussion about him. Randy P fund, Magic Johnson, Rudy T were all worse. :)

    I'm not saying Byron will take us there.

    I'm saying that the core is in place and that's plenty to be happy about. The core of Clarkson, Randle, and Okafor is freaking tremendous. Then we can add veterans around them to get them viable now while still having room to grow into a dynasty in the future. Obviously this is the wrong thread for this kind of talk.

    The point I was making is while there'll be bumps in the road, we've got a good thing cooking here. No reason to poke holes in the Okafor pick even if he's not 20/10 right away :)

    Funny you say this, because I could put this in the Optimism thread for myself. I don't like Wade, but I'm not going to lie, if we got both Wade and Rondo, I'd be pretty pumped. It's absolutely a team you don't want to see in the playoffs. It also puts back on the map in FA in the future.

    That looks dangerous if we make the playoffs but health is a HUGE concern here. The WMC here would be locking up a lot of the cap room towards often injured players.

    True. And they all can create for others and are excellent passers. It would be a fun experiment. But if I was coaching against that team I would zone and pack the paint.
