Don't care to watch these last 13 games if the young guys are only playing 20 minutes a game. Thanks Byron...

9 games of this garbage left. Hopefully 9 games before B0ron is fired too, he's got to go. We can't miss out on possible really good coaches like Thibbs if we want to wait on Luke for a year. B0ron needs to go right after the season, so he's not involved in the draft, or free agency. We seem pretty locked into the 2nd worst record slot now too, thanks to Brooklyn beating Cleveland the other day. Now it's up to the ping pong balls...

I think it's sorta funny that insecure members of the media are still taking pot shots at the lakers. harpring has done so mercilessly in all the lakers/jazz games I've seen this year, and pencilneck pelton's tweeting about the biggest loser tonight being "Lakers exceptionalism". eat it, dork. had the league not cheated the lakers out of the chris paul deal, you'd still be crying into your calculator about how they continue to win despite your formulas.

We are a fully healthy team aside from 2 rookies. One of which is a goose egg when he does play anyway. How does a fully healthy NBA team with even mediocre talent lose by 48 points to an also mediocre team in the Jazz? My guess is when they quit on the coach. Or when they're so lost out there from his "coaching" and we're so deep in the season that they don't have the strength anymore to overcome him on pure will. Earlier we saw JC, Russ and Randle succeed in spite of B0ron, now I'm afraid they're running out of gas, and the "system" is being exposed, on offense AND defense.

I think the young guys hit the "rookie" wall. This is their first full season even basically for clarkson. I expected us to lose by quite a bit because we suck and it's the second game of a back to back at a difficult place to play on the road with the elevation but I didn't expect to get murdered. Oh well, there's always next season.

The Lakers are playing for ping pong balls. Its hard to fight when your team is playing for the golden ananas with a 15-57 record and trailing by 20+.

Those comments by Byron about there not being a player to take the torch on this squad, and hoping he gets help in free agency probably set the guys off. I gotta admit, if I were 20 or 21, I might have mailed it in. Even if what Byron is saying is true (which he has no way of knowing this early on in their careers) you DO NOT say it. You don't tell your talented, but impressionable, young kids that they don't have what it takes and likely never will. That's a GREAT way to get them to turn on you. Even a 20 year old kid knows that a coach can't keep his job once his team quits on him. So I think last night might have been deliberate. What do they have to lose? Either Byron gets fired, or they keep Byron and trade the "malcontents" to a team without Byron. It's a win-win for them.

Is there something we're overlooking here? Is it possible Boron is blackmailing Jeanie herself to keep his job for all 4 years?

I haven't even watched the last handful of games. Which is really sad, this being kobe's last season. That's what Byron has done.

serious question: can the lakers just forfeit the rest of the games? with the way the season's gone, i'm afraid julius is going to break both legs in a defensive slide drill or JC is going to punch a toddler or something. this season needs to be over.

The last 7-8 minutes of that 4th quarter and including that OT was simply just atrocious offensively. Absolutely atrocious. There creativity, no ball-movement, no set plays, it was just absolutely awful. Yet I found it entertaining because I'm a fan and I wanted the young guys to succeed. We did both. However, we need an serious coaching upgrade. I know, I'm preaching to the choir with you guys.

Definite too much chucking/iso plays plays going on in the 4th quarter and OT. It worked out in the end for us but it certain isn't pretty basketball to watch. Please get a new coach with something other then grit.

That game last night was one of the saddest I've seen from the Lakers. And we've had three horrible seasons in a row. But that might have taken the cake. Just horrid. Nothing to even keep one's interest except MWP's throw back performance. Now that's saying something. The young guns looked lost, Kobe looked done (to be fair of course he has only four games left), and Ryan Kelly was our most effective scorer.

I hope we can at least make a better showing tonight, win or lose.
