Even though I was not well received on Clublakers (I use to be a real jerk I'll be honest..) I had a lot of respect for the long time posters there and really enjoyed reading all the different outlooks and breaking news on the forum. When it was failing and closing down someone invited me to come here and I was more than happy to sign-up when I saw all the familiar names. It's been a lot of fun witnessing Laker history with you guys..
I don’t remember that at all. New site, clean slate. They don’t hold your past against you here. Mostly. For instance, it may be another 10 years before I’m mod material, but I’m a late bloomer, so it’s all good.
One of my daily habits for a while To share my passion for the Lakers with clever members , we can disagree but there is no hard feeling. We all come from different places/countries but our love for the Lakers unite us
Ok I’m back. I’m not “understood” elsewhere I guess I guess you’re stuck with me. All I said was I rooted for our white players since they had a genetic disadvantage. Well it’s true Oh, and I did post backlinks to here while doing SEO for LB. Mostly edited old posts. Guilty as charged. But no warning system? Seems militant and without a sense of humor. What fun is that? But now... Spoiler
True story since last Monday. I rarely posted, so I thought it was really odd. I did make one comment about the site copyright being dated 2010, and here it is 8 years later in 2018. Maybe that offended someone. Overall just a very different culture, and doesn’t compare to LB. I guess with things being slow I was just desperate for some Lakers News, and was looking for additional material. Either way, not a big deal. This is home.
I don’t know who that is. Not posting there is no biggie I don’t even like reading their format, and their smilies are lame. I was desperate ok I mean....no gifs?
I'm not going to lie but it kind of bothers me that LakerFilmRoom calls Lakersground home when we all know what that site is like and the kind of immature, closed minded discussions that happen there. Now no fan forum is perfect, but someone of Pete's knowledge or daily/weekly postings would be great on here and more importantly I think he would be pleasantly surprised just how knowledgeable a lot of our members are here compared to the majority on Lakersground.
Even though they aren’t perfect, they feel like family. — Paul George (Probably) Even when Club Lakers was about to crash, we were still there because it was family. I’m guessing he’s been participating there so long, that they all feel like family in spite of the platform being outdated, mods close minded, etc. But I can’t imagine that site attracting thousands of new Laker fans the way it is right now. I would imagine we are set up to experience exponential growth during the LeBron James era, and possibly to a greater degree than any other Laker fan site out there. But then again, I am kind of biased.
