    After 4 years of rough times when Shaq left I joined Club Lakers when we picked up Pau because it occurred to me it might be fun to see what the Laker community outside of my friends at work were saying. That was 2/08, followed the group to LB when I saw that most of the good posters were coming here. I checked out LG the other day for kicks and man I could not believe how low the IQ was over there. Average posts were just terrible. Made me realize how different this place is.

    First post. From Florida and my city doesn't have a team. Always liked the Lakers because i have family in LA who are fans. Stumbled across this place when looking for a Lakers board. Looks pretty active and seems like a good place for LA news so here i am.

    It's simple, I love the team and CL was a true family. Most of the big dogs came here after. I don't post as much as I used to but I still read it all.

    Why am I here? I've known most of the names here since the old CL days. And jeez that must have been what? 15 years ago now? Love the people, the discussions, the insights, sirron's gifs / memes, the site's versatile tools for posting content / replies and just the overall positive and happy attitude here. Great people around. Granted, my life has now changed in the last 15 years (busy job, raising a family). I'm always busy the entire NBA season but I check from time to time and try to participate mostly in the summer and what little downtime I have in the fall and winter months.
