9.2 on IMDB. Muslim man, about 22 years old, has a one night stand and wakes up to a dead body. He's arrested and the case unfolds.
Would have thought you'd really enjoy Stranger Things. Most people in our age group are in LOVE with it.
I thought the story line, pacing, special effects, acting and writing was solid. The fact that I thought they nailed the 80s vibe was the cherry on top to make it great IMO
I think it's mostly about the 80s vibe - which it nails. Great assortment of characters, too. Especially refreshing to see the range of female characters. But it's mostly an 80s creature flick/series. Relatively low ceiling, in my view. It's a B.
Yup, sounds intriguing but I don't like investing in shows early on if I don't know the payoff will be worth it. I'd rather wait a few seasons and see if it's still as critically acclaimed.
So it's just a mini-series? They've confirmed there won't be another season? That might make me check it out, but I'll wait to see how satisfied people are with the finale. I loved the build up in Season 1 of True Detective but I felt the finale was super underwhelming in terms of closing out the mystery. I wouldn't wanna go through that again.
They are in talks for a 2nd season, but only if they think they can do it justice. I'm thinking he did it too. Or at least, he'll be found guilty.
I wouldn't be completely shocked because its an HBO show and anything is possible, but I'd sort of like/respect the show if it did end up being him. I don't know about anyone else but this whole time I have been secretly hoping he didn't do it and everything will sort itself out despite the piles of evidence against him. Should be a great finale!
Well, wasn't it this last episode or the previous one before it where they found another girl all stabbed up. I swore it was this last episode....
Watching the series Limitless on Netflix. Started a bit slow, but not bad. Tore through White Collar pretty fast, and thinking of changing my identity and moving to another country now. Also finished off Lie to Me. I liked it, and thought it was too bad they couldn't keep it going for whatever reason.
