Apple made some previously Apple TV+ only shows free for everyone, started watching Servant. I’m only 2 episodes in, but it’s creepy as hell. I really like Toby Kebbell, I feel like he’s a very good actor that gets a lot of terrible roles, but when he gets the right one like RocknRolla and that one episode of Black Mirror he’s awesome.
I finished Band of Brothers again. I'll probably rewatch Rome. This quarantine lockdown has given so much time to rewatch the classics and also non-classics like Summer Catch. I'm also watching sprinkles of The Office and Community plus rewatching Sopranos
Summer Catch was a fun time! Just finished Ozark season 3. That was good. It's getting pretty wild. On season 4 of Parks and Rec now. I just found out that the Showtime app has a ton of horror movies that I haven't seen. It also has some good popcorn flicks like Die Hard on there.

Re-watching Mad Men right now, on Season 6 at the moment. It’s serving as a reminder that this might very well be the greatest show of all time. Once I’ve finished that, my plan is to marathon through the latest season of Better Call Saul, and then start a Breaking Bad re-watch. Although, as I’ve only recently caught up with Better Call Saul (other then this last season) and watched El Camino, I feel like Breaking Bad is pretty fresh in my mind. I always wanted to delay my Breaking Bad re-watch until I’ve forgotten enough details so that watching it again might be closer to watching it for the first time. So I might audible and watch a new show after catching up on BCS, with Ozark currently the top contender.
I loved Mad Men. Probably in my top 5. But for me it doesn't have the rewatchability other shows do. Because it's the slowest of slow burns, you almost have to watch 4-5 episodes at a time since you know where they end up, but feeling like you are getting nowhere. That slowness works better the first time through when you don't know where it's going. Best show of all time for me is still Seinfeld. Very, VERY few shows can still be funny 20 years after they leave. The world changes so much in that amount of time. But Seinfeld manages to be timeless. It also is relatively clean and doesn't have to resort to vulgarity to be funny. I'm not a prude, but figuring out how to be funny without resulting to shock humor takes far more talent.
It definitely is the definition of a slow burn, but I’ve still been captivated and zooming through this re-watch. For me, I don’t care as much about where the story arcs go, the journey along the way is just as engaging. A witty line from a character that has double meanings, the way a shot is framed that seems to foreshadow future events, commentary about the historical events from the 60’s that still ring true today, a subtle change in an actor’s vocal delivery that accentuates the emotion behind what their character is going through, etc. Hmm, maybe Seinfeld should be on my horizon. I’m too young to remember the show in its prime, but obviously know it’s one of the most highly regarded sitcoms ever. I had tried watching it on Hulu a few years ago and got a few seasons in. I really enjoyed it but for whatever reason I stopped watching it. Now might be a good time to start it up again though. A relatively lighthearted sitcom to balance a heavy drama like Mad Men.
This will sound a bit normie but Netflix almost recommended that Dark every day and a colleague told me that it is one of the best stories in history and I have barely 7 episodes and I was right because I was not so excited with a series since bojack
BoJack is Top 10 all time for me. Depending on my mood it may sneak into Top 5. I pity the people who don't give it a chance because it's a cartoon. If you don't like it, that's one thing, but I just feel sorry for anyone that dismisses it out of hand because it's animated. My wife did that, but I basically forced her to watch Season 1. Now it's one of her favorite shows of all time.
Kingdom on Netflix. 3 seasons. About a guy and his girlfriend running a MMA gym. He was a former title winner and his 2 sons fight. Nick Jonas is one of the sons. The girlfriends ex boyfriend gets out of prison and starts training at the gym. Lots of fighting (in and out of the octagon), drugs and sex. Highly recommend.
Just finished Suits after getting interrupted a few seasons ago. I thought they did a nice ending. Watched a Korean drama called Crash Landing on You, pretty good. and also Birth of a Beauty. All subtitles, and very entertaining. Good, clean entertainment as well. Korean television is anti-smut
I'm in the Philippines locked down on Quarantine, but KDramas are huge here. My girlfriend talked me into watching an episode or two, and they were great. Haven't been to Korea yet.
I watched it all the way through back when it was on. The first 5 seasons were fine. He was in high school (albeit, as an obvious adult), but then when he got out of high school and Spoiler Lex left the show the show kinda took a dive because he kept flirting with being Superman but never became Superman. He kept finding emo reasons not to become Superman which was painfully boring and made it seem like Superman was going to be some Emo hero.
Yellowstone. If you haven't watched it, what are you waiting for? Give this outstanding series a 9 out of 10. Season 3 of All American comes out Oct 5. Just started Lucifer. Fun ride so far.
