I've been wondering why there hasn't been much discussion about Legion. That show is fantastic!! Absolutly one of the best new shows on TV
As others have said, this is the gold standard of television. So many great shows. It's hard to keep up with all of them.
Started watching Travelers, not bad. I'll check out Legion though. Sounds good! ***Edit, not on Netflix yet ***
The wife and I binged The People vs. OJ Simpson. I thought it was really good, but not as amazing as everyone made it out to be.
Never heard of the show before. Interesting premise and its got great reviews. Tough to keep up with so many shows, uh...
Just starting Breaking Bad. It's great so far (first 3 episodes), but when does it get super duper great?
300 episodes later. I kid. Never watched any Breaking Bad even though everyone says it's the best show ever.
So much better. Night and Day. There is a reason why it won the Oscar for Best Documentary. It's a 5 Part Series with each series roughly an hour and a half long but so worth it. There are insights shared in that which have never been shared or brought up ever before.
I wasn't honestly that interested because I'd seen this story so many times. I'd also heard the Marcia Clark from the show did won an award. I'll look into it though thanks Battle. The biggest problem I had with this version was the forced drama. It's one of the most dramatic stories of all time. No help needed!
I'm not a big fan of real life murder stories. They bore me. I need some dragons or aliens or psychic powers or something in my shows to keep my interest.
I can get into a murder mystery but generally I'm with you. Except there's not a ton of mystery with the OJ case. #hottakes
I was worried about this too thinking I already knew the story of the murder trial and all the events. But 30 for 30 did a fantastic job of showing everything in so much more detail and like I said the viewer gets information and interviews never seen/heard before. The personalities on the defense team and some of the tricks they used to help defend OJ...WOW After watching it a lot more stuff makes sense in why it happened and how things went down.
Great series. The "super duper great" moments are subtle, IMO. Dialog. The relationship between Jesse and Walter White.
The whole genius of the show is the slow burn that allows the viewer to actually believe that the nerdy science teacher can become an evil monster. It's ability to shock you, but not in a way that makes you throw up your hands like they jumped the shark.
Kelief Browder. Jay Z produced 5 part series about a 16 year old accused of stealing a backpack. Because he refused to admit it, he was sent to Rikers Island. For over 3 years, 2 of which he spent in solitary confinement, awaiting his day in court. 5 stars!!! Highly, highly, highly recommend you watch this. On Demand if you have that. Spike TV. Episode 3 aired tonight.
The system will infuriate you. Spoiler: The system Because he refused to join a gang, he was jumped at every opportunity. So they moved him around and eventually, the only place for him was Solitary. Great series, but frustrating as hell. If you know his story, you know how it ends.
