I've liked everything I've heard from him, but I just keep forgetting to listen to his albums. I have his latest mix tape on my phone and I just keep forgetting to play it.

Reminds me of old school Weezer.

This is dope. Definitely sounds like old school Weezer. This is reminiscent of the "alternative rock" that got me into music as a teen, but I feel like this has been an extinct genre lately. Maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places, but a lot of my old favorite bands don't make much music anymore while the radio is filled with poppy indie BS.

About Krit, I listened to "It's Better This Way" while working last week and it didn't really catch my attention too much but that's how Krit's music typically is for me. He puts out a high volume of music. Not all of it is for me, but I tend to really love a few tracks from each of his mixtapes or albums. Still bumping Soul Food and Lost Generation off of Caddilactica. I'm sure once I give this mixtape a closer listen some of the tracks are gonna stand out a bit more.

Whoah. Is this from somewhere? Are there more like this? I hope so. Got me thinking, how awesome would it be to have an anime on Adult Swim that was solely told through lyrical narration from Doom and guests ... over beats by Nujabes and Flying Lotus? Damn, now I'm sad that this will never happen.

    Whoa this is awesome.

Helljumper, you should give "Samurai Champloo" a go. It doesn't have the narration you're talking about but it uses beats by Nujabes, among others. Good anime.

I've had this song in my head for the past week even though I don't think I've heard it since I was a teen.

Had to finally listen to it or it would drive me crazy haha

Haha.. I feel a little guilty. I just listened to some Spice-1 after that difficult loss.. then I saw your post with an anti-gang video. I haven't heard that since I was a kid heh.

E-40 has a new album -- Poverty and Prosperity. It's only 7 songs, but that's actually perfect because all 7 are great songs. Also, his albums over the past 5 years have been too many songs, IMO.

If you like 40 water and love old school RnB, you'll love this album.

That sounds perfect. I agree, every album he's put out has been a double album or had a lot of throw away songs. Didn't know this one was shorter. I'll get it soon for sure

Yup, I just recently found about them as well when I randomly saw their new album on Spotify and decided to give it a chance. Really cool stuff. I ended up reading some complaints that one of the rappers in the group focuses too much on ridiculous "third eye" conspiracy lyrics so that kind of dissuaded me from checking out their earlier stuff but I guess I probably should when I get the chance.

This song has been in my rotation nonstop for the past month though. There's nothing of substance here lyrically, but this song just gives me good vibes.

Underachievers are dope. I think there's some major crossover between them and the Flatbush Zombies.

    Check this out:
