I'm sure being fluent in English is a coaching requirement so that automatically disqualifies Swaggy P.

Concepts on defense, I have no footage of from GT: however, he says the concepts are good on that end. It's the offensive end where Ollie has been underwhelming from the footage he has watched.

Well damn then give me Luke with the combo Phil Jackson / Gregg Popovich motion offense being run by Golden State.

With proper spacing techniques/principles. Absolutely. The Lakers want to play that style of basketball. It's Walton's job if he wants it.

Yeah. I think Messina is ready for a head coaching gig in the NBA.

We've got a lot of factors to weigh with this decision

looks like it's between messina and luke

i don't mind either but luke's connection to phil scares me, and with things the way they are in the FO, it wouldn't shock me if the ultimate plan is to hire luke and eventually bring phil back to run things

I'm down with Messina hire...I just wish he was a little bit younger. I wonder if Messina hire means we go all in on acquiring stars via trade and free agency? It's interesting to think about....

Meh ..... he's basically saying all the same stuff that Byron did. Players needing grit, which ones he has to find that he could be comfortable in a foxhole with and the need to man up, not be scared like you never been in a fistfight. All Euro double talk unless you read between the lines. Probably a nicer guy though than Boron the a-hole.

Still can't believe they let him go if they're going to consider the likes of Ettore Messina. Maybe Byron would have turned it all around now that Kobe's no longer here with the farewell tour. Oh well it's done now, so sure .... if not Luke then let's see if this guy's any better than Boron.

The difference is that Messina can actually back up his talk with coaching ability.

No coaching candidate is perfect. We've narrowed our list down to some great candidates. I think we will be fine to be honest.

I think the "if" there is pretty important.

Ollie looks like the best recruiter on the surface, but I think the other candidates can get it done as well.
