I was thinking Earl would be great in Byron's system.

Earl Clark got waived by Houston. Still I would rather start him at SF than Wes.

Earl came crashing back down to earth pretty hard here after an incredible breakout. I wonder what's left in him. I saw the spark of something special in him for sure. He just couldn't maintain it.

Earl looked a lot better playing next to Kobe & Howard than he did playing in Cleveland with Kyrie. He has talent lacks focus and better suited playing PF than SF. The problem is only a PF in D'Antoni's system.

Under Kobe&Scott... why not just bring him in for a try out, have a chat&see where hes at physically&mentally? I feel we dont have anything to lose at this point&maybe, just maybe we can find a role for him on the team.

I'm guessing Mitch and Jimmy have a plan to add someone else. Mitch has always said he doesn't like relying on rookies, so I find it difficult to believe we're NOT going to after another guard. Clarkson looks like an NBA player, but we still need a veteran player here for some depth.

As of right now though the reason we're not looking at anybody is because we can't. Nash is still technically on the books and we can't cut Ellington until he recovers from his concussion. At that point we might end up keeping him if Clarkson fills in well enough.

    Lin/Clarkson/Price/Nash*
    Bryant/Henry*/Ellington*
    Johnson/Young*/Kelly*
    Boozer/Randle
    Hill/Davis/Sacre

    *- injured player

Crazy how we're missing a third of our team already. Any how, until the NBA grants us that player's exception Nash is still on the squad. Ellington and Henry are still on the squad because they can't be cut while they're hurt. At least one spot should clear up, but it could take a few weeks. That'll likely mean Clark is somewhere else.

There you go! Wes and his twin brother at the 3! In fact, you could even play them both at the same time. Wes @ SF, Earl @ PF. Byron will love it!
