   Look at him. There is undeniable "IT" with some players' personalities and then there is the opposite in some other players' potential ..... "it" factor.

I take it all back. I see what he's doing.

If you think about it, he's fighting deep depression most likely. He was a former lottery pick playing on a franchise in need of help at his position in a high profile market. The stars aligned, and it was his time to shine. He blew it. No one came calling but the CLIPPERS!!!!

When one realizes that you were once one of America's darlings on the big stage at the Lottery, and now only the Clipps will sniff your butt while you are in your physical prime, all your weaknesses have been exposed, and your strengths(In a very uneven balance), you have no option but to lie to yourself until you believe it so that you can continue to survive the desperate emotional fallout he is not doubt going through.

That being said, many of us would trade our careers to play ball for a million dollars for one year with ANY franchise just because it would be so freakin' cool. But hey, fans are harsh, and if you talk crap about their home franchise when your performance for them was below average, they're probably going to react like fans do and crap on you right back.

I say let it fly people. [IMG]

ok...I took it easy on the guy when he was here, but this is it for me. shut up and be a professional. people didn't pass you the ball because they knew better. the fact that you're still obsessed with getting the ball after years of ineptitude when you have it tells me that you are actually dumber than I imagined. even so...even if it were true, and the lakers organization is a toxic waste dump that stole your shine, you don't yap about it now. you go out and play and make them regret not featuring you more. matt barnes did that (...sorta...), but I think wes knows he can't, so here we are. he's had a LOT of chances to prove he's a useful nba player, and he hasn't capitalized. as long as he continues blaming circumstance, he'll never improve. and he's a knee injury away from bringing me a chocolate shake.

Wes was such an ignorant and lost player... it's like punching an infant in the face the guys so dumb. I'm happy he's gone... completely worthless.

What he said was true, he played and was part of a toxic mix of players trying to extend their careers or start one.The reason Byron played him at all is because he was one of the few going with the game plan he had set. As the league has seen he is a very limited player that should be in the D league. He was one of the few on last years team that didn't make me want to kick the TV, he just made me curse and shake my head in disappointment.

There's a reason why this kid can only get 1 year veterans minimum contracts. He's no star, he's a role player, and not a good one either. So why is he talking ish? Lakers weren't competing for anything last year, it was basically an extended tryout season. Obviously he didn't make the cut. So instead of talking crap about a franchise that gave him three chances to make something of himself he needs to go look in a freakin mirror.

Wes was a big reason for the exact complaint he gives. If you can't follow through on assignments, defensive or offensive it causes guys to scramble and go out of the play.

“You would go out there and want to play the right way, but everyone wanted to prove themselves,”

Translation: They wouldn't exclusively create for me to make my job easy.

“Here, you have a clear mind going into the season (of what’s expected), so it’s going to be really helpful for me,” Johnson said. “I know what to do and what to expect.”

Translation: Keep that bench warm. The rest of the time be a D&3 guy but without the 3s (34.7%). Or the D, (opponents shoot 2.9 percent better than normal vs. him).

    I love this bit:

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said he’s noticed a change in Johnson’s attitude, something that happens whena player moves to a better team.

How did he notice a change in attitude if he wasn't around to observe his attitude prior to joining the Clips?

WJ is just some garbage time rest and injury insurance for Wheelchair. With how many shooting guards they have I wouldn't be surprised to see Stephenson get some of if not all of the backup SF minutes. Put it this way, we are scrapping the bottom of the barrel for SFs too and we didn't resign Wes. They actually have Pierce and Stephenson can play SF as well, good luck with those garbage minutes.

    http://www.examiner.com/article/lak...ays-he-will-be-a-different-player-come-sunday

Out of the league in two years is my guess, but the bottom line is even decent players will take advantage of tough circumstances to raise their stock. He almost worked himself out of the league, and it's poor form to blame in on anyone else.

But hey, Doc is doing his job trying to pump him up even if it's with excuses. Byron tried it.

Doc will learn like everyone else. Wes is who he is, and he's not getting any better.

When I saw that article quote about going to see a different Wes Sunday, I knew it had to be an old article, no way he'd be saying that again now. He said it multiple times last season and it never happened. He's not a smart basketball player, he relies on athleticism and a couple of simple moves. Pump fake in the corner, step to the right or left, take the shot, rinse, repeat. You're right sirron, he's not getting better, he's reached his ceiling.

Oh and Doc is an a-hole if he did say that Wes is happier because he came to a better team, but then we already knew that. Hey, at least he's still right about the 2010 Boston starting lineup is still undefeated in that finals. I wonder if the blank banner from the next season is hanging in Doc's house too.
