^^^ that US magazine article is what I was referring to when I said everyone condemning Weinstein were very tame in their comments.

Well I think most of the women were pretty adamant.

I think some of the men were strong (Cumberbatch comes to mind). I thought Affleck was by far the weakest, but I believe he's got his own demons (and his brother does too) so he can't be too critical or he'll be outed as a hypocrite.

Listen to Barbara Walters response. IMO, she didn't wanna hear it.

That was a weird response from Barbara Walters.

Is that really surprising? Kimmel started out with crude comedy, I remember he and Adam Carolla used to do the Man Show on Comedy Central as one example. I’ve always felt his current late night tv show host persona was the phony one.

Yeah I actually don't mind Kimmel. He's turned into somewhat of a liberal spokesperson for one reason: the health care situation.

The only thing I thought was hypocritical was that none of the late night guys really took it to Weinstein when the news broke. I don't know if they had directives from on high, but they should have crushed that man. A source of pain in their own industry guilty of far worse misogyny than the tape of Trump (not excusing Trump).

Disney has done it for decades. I don't necessarily see a big problem in it, but it definitely doesn't seem appropriate today. They weren't condoning it and Disney could easily come forward and say, "it was done to make sure people never forget what happens! It was done with bitterness just like Seth MacFarlane's bit at the award show!"

Kevin Spacey accused of sexual advances toward a male 14 year old actor many years ago.

Kevin responds by apologizing, but claiming he does not remember, and that he's gay.

    Burn Hollywood Burn.

The shocking part of the whole situation to me was that he hadn't officially came out years ago. I thought he had?

The story is sort of... I don't know what the right word is. This to me was definitely inappropriate behavior and the most concerning part of course was the child's age. There are a few different factors though: Spacey was drunk, he didn't "succeed" in forcing himself on the kid, and there's 100% an angle of professional jealousy here.

I'm not forgiving Spacey and of course if this was my kid, I'd go insane. All I'm saying is that this is different from Weinstein. I'm glad people feel emboldened to say something, but this story also feels a lot like a guy trying to gain a foothold professionally as well.

Could be. He nailed the Weinstein joke at awards show. Seems to be tapped onto the Hollywood goings on.

But to admit he knew and said nothing (again) can hurt him.
