Sounds like a lot of members here thought he sounded like Roo, and they were right. You read someone's posts for years and you kind of know their opinions and how they write.
Not to mention sharing all of the same life experiences that make a person's life unique and that bonkscooter used to differentiate himself from the rest of us.
I click on my bookmark every so often just to see if they happened to reappear. I know lakerswhiz was helping or at least offered, so I always wondered if anything would come of it. Definitely glad this site was up and running before the Big Crash.
I think CL just pulled the plug on his site because everyone that was active came over here, and he wasn't getting ad revenue from it anymore.
I know I was being flippant. I have no contact with CL and I'm guessing most of us don't. The only one who might is @KB24
Most likely nobody has contact with the GUY behind CL, that was the problem, that's why the site is dead. We tried to have contact with the guy for forever, thank goodness Barns made this place before it was too late.
Well like Weezy said, we tried to talk to him back at CL and it almost never worked. The guy behind CL (I think his name was Steve?) never talked to us. We tried to get him to make updates, remove certain ads, etc. and it never worked. If we couldn't reach him then, I'm not sure there's much hope of reaching him at all now.
He used to answer his clublakers at gmail account. I think I have his personal account, but I don't know about giving it out. If you have a message, shoot me a PM. I can send it along to him. Can't guarantee a response. That was always the problem.
