    Do you understand the words? I recall you being Polish, so Russian should bear some resemblance.

    It was so 1988, so I had to check. A couple of amazing things turned out.

    1. I actually was born in almost the exact same place these guys are from
    2. I've been to their city numerous times
    3. They existed 2001 - 2009 (at least)
    4. The producer is known for creating these bands and has been (once) wildly successful in the past
    5. It's not a parody

    You're very welcome Zen, glad I could bring some good memories back :). As regards the song, I didn't understand the text. I have a virus/malware/whatever problem now and can't watch any clips online, but will def check it later if that's you recommend. It didn't seem worth paying attention to at first sight ;)

    Ah, those are not good memories. It's akin to recalling how you s*** your pants when in a zoo, when you were 3 years old. Those are memories alright,
    but I wouldn't call them good.

    It's utterly ridiculous. I don't know how it was in Poland on 80s/90s border, but in Russia - this was the pop. I hated it, naturally, being
    a rock/punk guy, but the general populace (especially teenage girls) went all Beatlemania on these "bands". These are the memories it brings forth.

    Crazy stuff. The lyrics are as cheesy as you can imagine - they sing "Happy New Year" IIRC.

    Ran into Trevor Ariza at the beach yesterday. I was flipping a football around and he asked to toss the ball around a bit and did for a good 10 minutes. Real nice guy.
