No apologies needed, I'm sorry if I came if as rude, bit. The pacing was garbage, as it tends to be. I only needed one flashback of Sasha and Abraham to know she was going to die, not 20 min of it. The betrayal from the trash people was telegraphed per as soon the Michonne-trash lady conversation happened. There was a moment where I thought she was going to die, so that's good. I knew Carl wasn's going to die, and cgi tiger ex machina was pretty cool. That whole set piece was pretty well done, and the impetus was similar to the Gov killing Hershel. All in all it was a solid episode, they just really need to tighten it up. Two quick sides notes; trusting Dwight was beyond stupid, they didn't even need him. Is Judidth dead? I couldn't tell, and that's some bad story telling as well.
That was not how I expected the finale to go. I did enjoy it though. Spoiler: Finale A little too much Sasha but I get it, the character needs a fair well. Rick not backing down from Negan despite having his back against the wall. Ezekiel's "Alexandria will not fall." was pretty epic. Also kitty. Maggie's monologue at the end there was great. Spoiler: Next season I do wonder if All Out War will last the entire season considering they used a lot of those story lines for this season. They could drag it out but I think they will take fan criticism of it being slow into consideration. I'm in the thinking that they should end the show after Negan. The whispers are interesting but we are already on season 8, how much more will there be. Idk, I usually flip flop on this idea every time I start thinking about it.
I liked the Sasha concept, but it was definitely too much. It felt like they were giving her some artistic moments that as an actress were probably cool, but as a whole was unnecessary for the show. Good send off for her character though after about a season and a half of me not giving a f*** about her. I don't understand the inclusion of the trash people. In the books, it was just Negan and his own people and most of what we saw is fairly parallel, but the trash people add a wrinkle I don't know what to do with. It seems like a ton of wasted time that we went back and forth between them for so long. Weird. Nobody mentions Heath. I guess he just died because the actor started getting better roles. I'm sure they left it ambiguous so he could come back, but still weird nobody talks about him. The Dwight thing is a seed that is a decent plant for now. It'll be really interesting as they go to war next season. What bothered me though was once Negan and his people fled, what was the time frame afterwards? They had enough time to clean and shower themselves, hold a townhall meeting, and bury their dead... Why? They had the advantage. I understand Negan set up some defenses on the retreat, but don't you press your advantage while Negan is on the ropes?
What was the whole thing with Morgan finding that solider figurine thing saying, I didn't see it coming? OR whatever that was..what was that about?
Dwight. He used to whittle little wooden figures. He gave one to Darryl the first time they ever met for the insulin for Dwight's friend. Dwight left the figurine to let Darryl know that he didn't know about the trash people's betrayal.
So Dwight wasn't bluffing..and he is Team Rick then? Maybe he will help be the one to take down Negan. Enjoyed the finale, shocked when Sasha came out a zombie, jaw dropped when the trash people turned on Rick, and well..wasn't expecting a 2 ton Tiger to sneak up and attack..and non one see him coming. :Randallconfused:
Crazy, autistic trash lady asking Michonne permission to bone Rick was one of the funniest and least-expected moments in the entire show.
I'm glad you're not a drug dealer, lol, cause your weight awareness skills are sorely lacking. Try around a 1/4 ton.
It is a pretty large tiger. That was the best use of CGI in the show this season. It was worth it for some of those truly horrible trash dump shots that looked like they came out of the 80s.
It was 10000 times better than that CGI shot with the deer a while back in that amusement park..lol that was bad
Was trash lady's ask to bone a savvy something extra to assure Rick's trust or was she genuinely asking, despite the coming doublecross?
I don't know that her motivation in that moment made much sense. I think she was just having some fun just like the audience.
In that case, that's some genius level dry humor, knowing what she was about to do. Loved the brief moment of tension between her and Negan too. She backed down quick. What was their bargain, 10 vs 12, what? Alexandrian captives?
Yeah it seemed like she was getting people, but it was unclear. Did they value people above guns? If that were the case, I'm sure Rick would have let them have all the Saviors they wanted. I still don't understand their motivations really.
Gosh damn, That final 2-3 minutes where Maggie is talking about the group, family, Glen and everything else with that beautiful music in the background which I'm trying to find online was amazing and powerful emotionally.
