Promoting Rob is a huge mistake and might make me step away. Its already been shown that a rookie can’t do that job. We need experience in the front office, guys with some sort of pedigree and respect. Guys that have a clear vision and can stop this whole Laker trade tax.

Rob, the guy GMs won’t even talk to, is not that guy.

We have a big chance here ... if we stay with Rob ... I mean listen to Woj. I have never heard him talk as positive about us. I mean if there is truth to us possibly getting on of these top guys - why the hell waste any time????

I'm seeing the Logo's name dropped here alot.

I'm not going to ever doubt the man, but you know he too prematurely stepped away from the job 2 years before his contract was up.

That was during the time Jerry Buss was at the helm as well. At the time it was speculated to be health related. I guess it's a good time to remind yall what stess does to an immunocompromised individual with a low CD4 count...let's just say, it's not fun.

Then turns out, Jerry takes the same job in Memphis not even a year later and all of a sudden, it's not a health thing...it's a Phil/coach thing. Weird, but Luke is also a Phil disciple.

The Buss-head team exec-coach triangle symmetry matches up almost all too well. The difference only being that after the Logo made his magnum opus, he still needed to hire his coach to making all the moving parts work. Magic cleaned our books, added kiddies, kept BI and brought in Bron/Klutch to pair with a 2nd max slot. He needed to bring in his coach to make the parts work.

Someone will exploit and eat off his accomplishments kinda like Mitch/Jimmy did with the Logo's construction. Thx for that Magic. My only disappointment is that you allowed the haters to dictate your terms.

With all that being said, West coming back in an expanded advisory role would be welcomed, but would he want to? Also George was hellbent on coming home...Kawhi wanted to come home...AD put the cLips on his short list...did West the Consultant fulfill those trades or did he take his resources and create a max slot this summer?

Personally I don’t care who we hire. All I know is the next guy needs to work tirelessly to get this franchise to where we need to be. I want somebody willing to roll up their sleeves, grind and put in the work. We’re the 8th most lucrative sports franchise in the world. It’s time we act like it.

Why would we hire Bob Myers when we have Rob Pelinka?

I want Jeannie to hire a search firm and do a true search for our next guy. This isn't that hard, but we just can't get out of our own way.

Rob Pelinka is going to be moved to President of Basketball Operations. He's going to hire Jalen Rose to be GM. He will then fire Luke Walton and hire Juwan Howard as our coach.

Time to look outside of LA... start at the top and offer them enough money to make them blush.
    1) Buford
    2) Myers
    3) Presti

    Less money
    4) Griffin
    5) Ujiri

Then if all 5 turn you down, Jeanie better write the best apology letter ever and have Phil consign and deliver it to Jerry West. As it's been suggested, he can advise and his son can step up and eventually take completely over. But I think that still leaves Rob with way too much power.

Plan B if we can't get the big names. They aren't Hollywood but could get the job done:

    1) Neil Olshey (Portland) - Drafted Dame and CJ, Orchestrated the CP3 trade and drafted Blake and DJ with the Clippers

    2) Kevin Pritchard (Indiana) - Success in Portland, Indiana

    3) Tim Connelly (Denever) - Worked with Masai Ujiri, succeeded him in Denver

Thing is, Myers name keeps getting thrown out there so much that it makes me wonder if it’s his own camp feeding it to reporters.

I want the front office to think big. Myers as president of basketball ops then another heavy hitter of his choosing as GM.

Ah, let's hire the guy who did everything to stop us from getting PG.

I guess we'll see if Griffin will be more amendable to trading AD to us.

FML. As long as Lakers are in Buss family hands, nothing good will come out of it. Rob f***ing Pelinka running the show, while Jeanie and her bestie watch babies and puppies in Lakers gear. Kill me now...

LOL. And LeBron playing LeGM in Cleveland didn't make Griffin's hard job any easier so don't be looking for Griffin to be doing him and Klutch any favors now. We're effed with AD because of how this was played.
