I feel bad for rose. She was fighting a beautiful fight. Her striking was gorgeous. Even her prior slam defense to kimura to arm bar attempt was rad. Then she just gets dumped on her head.
I'm starting to think his story doesn't end well. Punching an old dude over nothing essentially? https://www.tmz.com/2019/08/15/conor-mcgregor-irish-pub-old-man-punch-whiskey-dispute/
The BMF fight absolutely lived up to the hype, until the premature dr stoppage after 3. Jorge is the much better boxer, but Nate is a freaking terminator! I was on the edge of my seat for rounds 4-5, cause that’s when Nate comes alive due to his insane cardio. Things were just getting interesting. Can’t wait for the rematch. I think Jorge gets the winner of Khabib and Tony and Nate gets the Conor rubber match.
McGregor absolutely smoked Cerrone. It was like he wasn't even in his league. I thought Cerrone should have taken him down immediately after the first wild miss, but missed his shot. Connor looked pretty strong at Welterweight too. Be interesting to see who else he has for opponents this year.
He's not. Connor's only chance would be if he could goad Khabib into a stand up only fight. I fully expect Connor to duck that fight and arrange another fight with Floyd for one more huge payday.
I was rooting heavily for Jones, but after three rounds I was thinking he needed 10-8s in the fourth and fifth or a finish. I had it 10-9, 10-9, 10-9 Reyes through 3; Not decisively, but pretty inarguably imo. I know judges like the challenger to really beat the champ, but if we’re going by 10 point rounds, Reyes slightly edged him I think.
I wouldn't be upset if Reyes won but I just felt that no one truly beat the other. Jones was pressing Reyes the entire fight so you have to give him credit for controlling the pace. At the 4th/5th rounds, Jones was the fresher fighter and Reyes strictly turned into a counter-puncher. Though the takedowns weren't impactful, it takes a lot of effort to take someone down and if Reyes gets credit for stopping them, Jones should also get credit for landing them when he does. I personally had Jones winning the 2nd, 4th, and 5th round. I'm a fan of Jones but this doesn't seem like the Jon Jones I remember. He used to be a killer utilizing his knees, elbows, and a variety of unorthodox strikes such as a flying knee or superman punch. The fight vs Reyes was quite basic. He definitely seems less athletic and not as energetic out there. I do believe Reyes deserves a rematch. There isn't much for Jones to prove in this division so I'd like to see a rematch vs Reyes and then possibly an Israel vs Jones fight at the end of this year.
Thoughts on UFC 248? Super excited for Zhang vs Joanna. I got Zhang via 2nd round. I dislike Israel but he likely wins. Romero hasn't used his wrestling much lately and even when he does, he's not the best at keeping them down. Israel can scramble and get out of it. Israel by decision.
I used to be a fan of hers but then she just started making excuses and excuses while regurgitating how she is the Queen and to bow down to her... She's trying so hard to be the female Conor McGregor or something.
She's a d******. Used to be a good fighter. Ditched her entire polish team, moved to the US, to train with the "best guys" and... she regressed LOL. I hate her personality in general, so i hope she gets knocked out once again and her fighting days are closer to the end.
