I don't think this deserves a new thread but are any of our coaches, including assistant coaches, good? I looked them up but could barely find anything on Paul Pressey and Jimmy Eyen other than they worked with Byron Scott before. At least with Mike Brown, he surrounded himself with pretty good assistants if I remember correctly. I don't think Byron and his staff will be all that good but I guess they deserve a chance to prove themselves.

I will say this: Madsen has been bad. I'm not putting all of this on Scott when he's not the Head Coach. He's not making the decisions out there.

Same problems come up though as with Byron: rotations are bad, coaching just isn't getting across, offense is dumb and players aren't buying in...

Still though, it's Summer League where you want to start drilling into these kids the principles you want for later in the season. Does Princeton fit the young kids? Absolutely not. It fits for the older players a little better though. If these guys actually bought in and started setting good screens and cutting with purpose it'd fit better too.

I'm not calling for any heads, but it'd be nice if Madsen let the leash go a bit. Tell the kids just go out there and have fun. Look for each other. Focus defensively and offensively run what you guys see. Byron is better at that then people give him credit for: putting trust in his PG to make reads and change things on the fly. Madsen so far is... not good.
