You know. It sucks now but I think we should be patient. DLO was a huge disappointment but we’ve got to manage that carefully. Can’t afford to let him walk for nothing in my opinion. Ham isn’t going anywhere. He had ups and downs this year but if we literally make some layups we’re playing a game 5.
I don't see a contender being built around ancient LeBackboard who sucks up 45+ million and A.D. who probably wont play half the season and is another 40+ million. Be incredibly hard to aquire the needed shooters/length and a REAL point guard with them being paid so much, and retaining Reaves/Rui/Scrotor. Dlo, Beasely, Mo Bamba, Brown should all go away. Ham as well but he wont be fired anytime soon.
dlo was garbage this series but you just can't let him go unless they're making a move for kyrie brown and bamba can go. beasley i only keep just because of how bad this team is at shooting 3s
Last time we panicked and blew up a team after a disappointing playoff performance we ended up with Westbrook. Let’s not do that again. We have to exercise sound asset management here.
I don’t understand the DLO hate. Dude struggled this series, struggled… he literally saved us a couple of games, and never played meaningful games until this season.
he hasnt been good in any playoffs minus handful of game hear, i dont think hes going to get any better than what we're already seeing but do agree we cant let him walk for nothing
Would be even more incredibly hard if you had the money from LeBron and AD being gone and were able to get those high end role players to build a contender …. like we have NOW with them gone.
lol, my preference would be to run the whole thing back, but that's not realistic. i'm very open to keeping russell, but i wouldn't break the bank on him at this point. beasley's the closest thing to just not wanting, but i think you have to remember that prior to getting here, he was a much, much better player. i really don't think he just forgot how to play. anyway, tbh, i'm good with swider (definitely) and pippen (probably) being cycled out for some new development slots.
IMO, Darvin Ham lost this series for us. We could’ve won ANY of these games and his inability to do basic things (like call A f***ING TIMEOUT) added up and cost us the games.
Ham had this team for less than, what, two months before the playoffs? Too soon to want him gone for me. Happy to give him more time, but some other tweaks are in order. And we must expect the stars we have to continue to decline and game plan around that.
