I could only name 10 of them and 3 of those 10 are Lakers

Russell seems like he's trying to get as much knowledge as he can.

So I had to wake up early for work and I've been in the office for 3 hours already and completed said work. I have too much time to cool obviously given how much I post on this site, but here's my breakdown for the Select Team's future (Keep in mind this is based on just the couple hours of scrimmage footage and bits of practice so there's obviously a ton going on behind the scenes that could change a coach's mind regardless of scrimmage performance):

Will One Day Be on the Olympic Team:
Myles Turner- He was so good out there that he may be a reserve for the actual Olympic team. A little foul heavy, but played really great defense and showed off some range offensively. I didn't think much of him coming out of college, but I was dead wrong. He looks fantastic.

Acquitted Themselves Nicely (decent shot at the team eventually):
Aaron Gordon- Active, showed a little touch around the rim, and very solid defensively. He played well within the system.
Stan Johnson- Excellent defender of course and again was a good system runner. Not outstanding, but very solid.
Julius Randle- Jumper is improving, active on the glass, and an improved defender. Still lapses in focus off the ball, but still solid and versatile showing.
D'Angelo Russell- Similar to Julius. He showed great feel on both sides of the ball, but loses focus too frequently. A better off-ball defender than man.
Brice Johnson- Might be younger, but very smart and athletic. I liked him.
Victor Oladipo- Talent is obvious, but he could have been a lot more aggressive. Good shot at the team, but a little disappointed in effort level.
Devin Booker- Clearly talented, but another guy who could be more aggressive.

Should have been better/Underwhelming (a shot, but they need work):
Marcus Smart- Top end of this tier. He showed some good PG instincts and is a good defender, but also over-aggressive at times. Not as talented as other guards.
Brandon Ingram- He did fine and showed same promise as Brice Johnson, but he was too passive out there. Needs time to come out of his shell.
Denzel Washington ;)- Mostly terrible, but shot the ball well. Clearly tentative.
Doug McBuckets- I'm sure this guy is a practice monster, but he was not great in scrimmages. Had a highlight dunk and a lot of missed shots.
Zach LaVine- Pretty decent. Knocked down shots, but disappeared at times.

Not impressive/Wallflower (need to improve a lot to make the team):
Willie Cauley-Stein- Still nothing offensively, but pretty decent defender. Didn't stand out enough.
Gary Harris- Just didn't do much. Okay defender and okay offensive player. Didn't stand out.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope- A little better than Gary Harris, but not much. Disappointing for a 3rd year player.
Jahlil Okafor- I never saw him play. Hard to judge him on non appearances, but non appearances aren't a good sign.
Emmanuel Mudiay- Didn't stand out much. I think he can do better than he showed. Decent, but can push more so he was disappointing to me.
    Rodney hood- See Mudiay.
    Malcolm Brogdon- See Jahlil.

    Awful:
Jabari Parker- Dear Lord... Just horrible. Turnovers, bricks, bad defense. He did it all.
Justise Winslow- Almost worse than Jabari because he didn't even try hard. He pissed me off more than anyone else.

Jabari will probably make the team because I'm sure he's a practice beast, but he was excruciatingly bad in scrimmages. Painful.

Great experience for our guys. They can be on that next Olympic team in 2020 if they put in the work and use the knowledge they've gained during this process and take it to heart.

You can see Mitch, Ryan, and another person on Mitch's staff sitting together near the beginning of the video.

Mitch continuing tutoring of next GM Ryan West up in stands at 3:43 in on the long clip.

I think anyway, pretty sure that's Ryan.

It is. The other game behind him is part of the Lakers front office as well. I've been him in the Backstage Lakers videos before but don't have a clue what his name is.

Speaking of team USA and "thick" (aren't we always?) ..... photo taken in last night's game against Argentina. Klay has even "beastier" years ahead of him.... been hitting those weights.

He also picked right up where he left in the Finals in that game, bricking 3 after 3 after 3. Durant, George, and Cousins impressed me most.

Didn't see the game. Was just surprised by the photo how big he looks now. Yeah I think the 3 you mentioned have a future in the league. ;)

Is that Klay "looking big"? I'd rather see him put on less amount, higher quality mass. But whatevs. He's probably been chowing down.

I was looking at his legs. Thick, solid. Assumed it was muscle not calories. What do I know? :Magic Brows:
