I'd like it even more if we dropped down to the 6th worst record, got the Sixers excited, and stole that 1st pick. Fan reaction of other teams would be epic.

-This nightmare season needs to end already. I thought it couldn't get any worse than rooting for losses last year... But at least we were only worried about positioning then, now we're all afraid of them actually losing the pick.

-Some have said what more could they do in order to lose last night.. But that's just it. It's not about last night. It's about the entire first 3/4 of the season, trying to win games that werent going to get you into the postseason, playing guys who themselves aren't going to be here long term and are only playing for contracts...garbage like that.

-Now it's all coming home to roost. Only now are they benching Boozer, Lin and all the other scrubs who only ever play well when there's absolutely no pressure whatsoever. It's insane.

-Someone in the thread said that with the emergence of Clarkson, and Randle returning, that having another draft pick isn't a necessity, but a luxury. I could not disagree more with that position.

We gotta knuckle down and get these losses where they are losable. The Magic only have a couple winnable games left and we have 3-4 possible wins I'm worried about with the way we've been playing.

Did they say luxury? I know people said it will make the loss of the pick easier to swallow. That's a far cry from "luxury."

Well said and I want to add something as well and this came to me this morning..... If everyone really thinks about where we were as a fan base to begin this year and what kind of team we were expecting out of training camp (Kobe coming back, Nash finally heathly, Wes and Swaggy improved, Boozer on a contract year, Julius randle starting his career...) we weren't even supposed to be in the conservation of having that top 5 protected pick. We knew we might not make the playoffs but getting our pick back wasn't on anyone's mind.

This should make us all feel better at the end of the day if we don't somehow get that pick. This year was just going to be able improving and hopefully compete for a playoffs spot. Now that we have a chance of getting a top 5 pick its only a BONUS

I can't believe how hard Orlando has tanked over the past 15-20 games. pretty sure they're going to catch the lakers. just a split with philly might have saved the pick. but I'm not sure what else could be done. the lakers' players want to compete, and they should.

if I'm mitch, I'm calling silver and candidly asking him why I shouldn't just forfeit games by claiming all my players are hurt. in other words, the system is broken. this could have been remedied earlier this year, but the owners chickened out. now teams like la and Orlando (but especially la) have CRAZY incentives to put a poor product on the floor.

Lakers listed both Jeremy Lin & Carlos Boozer as questionable to play Wed. vs. New Orleans (upper respiratory infections)

So many upper respiratory infections... So many guys getting "sick" late in the season. I bet soon it's Hill and Ellington with the upper respiratory infections. Darn how that bug gets around.

It makes me a little sick knowing it's a farce. The Lakers are doing everything they can to tank now. Just like all the other worms in the league.

Well, we can't afford to win tonight. Because Orlando is going to lose for sure.

Spurs are on the second night of a back to back. Orlando will take this by 20.

Sorry, I had to, in case someone takes your post seriously. ;)

But imagine if the Magic really win it by double digits?! :speechless:

End of the 3rd. Tight contest between the feisty Magic and champion Spurs. Still anybody's game. Magic have shown throughout the season that the 22 point lead is a dangerous lead to have. The Spurs will probably take their foot off the gas, and the outside marksman Elfrid Payton will drain 8 3's.
