It's *intents and purposes. But I agree. I think we're pretty well ingrained here at #4 at this point which is where I thought we'd end up all along. I refuse to hope for us to lose to the ultimate insult to the NBA... but I won't be mad if we lose either.
I can't express how disappointed I am right now. Lin screwed us royally tonight, playing for his next contract. Byron keeps Clarkson on the bench. Unbelievable.
I don't blame Lin. He's gotta do what's best for him. But I hate Scott. He is an insecure tool who will hopefully be fired next season when we're on our way to 20 wins again because we lost our pick and signed Rondo.
Two claps for playing veterans in the 4th quarter as a 50 loss team. I'm sure Lin and Boozer are gaining valuable experience for their new teams next season, while JC and Black are losing out on valuable time they need.
I'm extremely angry with Lin right now even though I know he's just doing his job. Still, the players know what's at stake here, they have to. They know that with a win they are punching the fans and the franchise in the gut. The biggest offender here though is Byron. There is no reason to have Lin, Ed, Hill, or any other hot hand in the game down the stretch. None. Byron just keeps proving time and time again how moronic his decisions are.
Mike Bresnahan ✔ @Mike_Bresnahan Byron Scott says he hasn't been on Instagram in a while, doesn't know whether Lakers fans would want wins or losses right now.
Perfect Byron. The one guy that's hot, Lin, gets nearly 29 minutes..... waay more than Clarkson and Ellington and Brown. You sure showed em.
Is there a Big in the league with twiggier legs than Noel? They better move him to the point and Embid to 4 when they draft Okafor.
It's not Byron's job to tank. It's not the players job to tank. They're paid to try to win games not lose them. Only fans looking for draft picks and loser organizations like the idea of losing and want to do it on purpose.
That will be great consolation with our 4th position if the unthinkable happens and we get bumped out of the bottom 5 by the ping pong balls and lose the Pick to Philly. The never ending nightmare to cap this nightmare of a season. No rational reason with what's at stake with only 16 or so games left, to play Jeremy Lin all those minutes. Of course we don't expect the players to tank.
