Sorry if I seem to be reveling in it, realdeal. It's just the state that we are in. We have NOTHING to gain from any wins from here on out. Every win potentially hurts our ability to keep a top 5 draft pick. Play the heck out of the young guys and try to be competitive, but at the end of the games we do need those losses. It's the only way to redeem this season which kind of ended right as it started with Randle going down and it just got worse from there. If we don't keep that pick all of this losing will be for naught. So yeah, please lose all the rest of the games when there is nothing to else to play for. It's a backwards season. But we have the possibility to gain immensely out of the suffering very soon. And no, I never want to be in this position again, not rooting for wins. It sucks.
I know I know I know... I understand it. I just absolutely loathe it with every fiber of my Laker fandom. The best games for me are the ones where we fight hard against great teams and still lose. We get the best of both worlds. I know how much you guys hate it though.
Who's reveling? It is exciting though at this point!! What do we have left to this mostly miserable season, 16 - 17 games? Not that many and if some way....some how we slipped into that 3rd spot or ......KAPOW!! .....the 2nd spot ......BOOM goes the dynamite again. Why don't you stop trying to take on the collective guilt of the rest of us that just want the losses. At this point hell yeah happy for every one of them. I'm sure you don't mean it this way but almost like endorsing what you want to have happen too but trying to stay above the situation. Focus on yeah Scott is giving valuable time to young players that need it and it will all be over in a month, and how well we have done with Clarkson due to the lemons dealt this team this season. Picture Okafor, Towns or your 3rd choice.
I will take on that guilt! Someone needs to be the voice of how awful this is! Look man, I get it. We're all focused now on getting that pick. That means taking some joy from a bad things (losses). It's important for me to keep perspective though and that's where I am. We're celebrating this: When we're used to celebrating this: I just never want to look back at this season. I'm ready to be done with it. That doesn't mean I won't appreciate losses with you guys... I just don't want to.
So is this something like going home with a less than stellar female from a bar? You'll probably enjoy it, even though you really don't want to.
No not at all. Also I have no idea what it's like to go home with a less than stellar person. I go home with only the cream of the crop. Or I stay home by myself with a protein shake and some cheesy puffs.
The Knicks are getting destroyed by Philly right now. Which works for us. If we lose against them on Sunday -- we are #3. .250 vs .257.
Man these games against Phily are becoming bigger every day. If we can by some miracle lose both of them we might end up tied with them or even pass them if we can lose other games we're supposed to. Do the right thing and only dress 5 or 6 players for these games, Byron.
