Way too close of a call. I dunno why we insist on making every game so dang close! I appreciate the effort but calm down Lakers! We need losses!
Jesus, ORL, SAC and DET are making a roaring charge towards our position... They gotta win some games.
Mark Medina @MarkG_Medina ยท 48m48 minutes ago Lakers lose 91-86 to Atlanta. Lakers are now 17-48 and have lost 7 of their last 8 games We play GS tomorrow. Unless they rest their players, we'll have lost 8 of our last 9 games. Keep an eye on Philly; they play Boston which is a game they could potentially win.
Everybody freaks out when they sit some guys, but we still lose the game and there's no happiness? You guys are impossible.
We lose the game and there's no happiness because it was close, a couple bounces our way and we would have won. There are too many games left and teams are tanking harder than we are. I am not comfortable one bit.
We have the "worst" record of all tanking team over the last 10 games. We must do better than that over the next 10. Winning 2 should be a maximum !!
amazing what can happen when the coach and management are on the same tanking page (or in det's case, are the same guy). good clutch loss against the hawks last night, despite their best efforts to tank the tanker. eat it, hawks.
Its Lakers fans. just read the game day chat no matter what we complain. Guys want the tank but complain when our guys aren't playing well. Guys want the win but complain when the vets are playing good. Byron sucks no matter what the team is doing. I still enjoy us winning but have resolved myself that a loss is better for us during the offseason so I don't get pissed about it. But man I am with you it is hard to keep track of what the "collective" really wants from the guys. I can't wait to see the eruption from the draft. No matter who we pick it will be "the dumbest pick" I am sure.
I can't speak for everyone, but for me it's simple. I want 2 things: 1. Losses. I don't want to see even a single win because I believe the pick is that important. Once we are locked into our draft position then I fully support the team winning. and 2. If we can't lose I want to see us win while developing the young guys. I don't want to see Boozer, Lin, Wes, Wayne, Hill, Ed (all the contract-year vets) win games for us because there is a solid chance most or even none of them will be back next year. This season is over, if we have to shoot ourselves in the foot by winning then at least do it with young guys who are gaining experience for next season. That said, I actually thought Byron did fine last night...for the most part. He has made some terrible, terrible decisions this season, but his move to put on Boozer and Kelly as a front court on defense for Atlanta's final possession was pure tank genius. That group was dangerous offensively, but not switching back to some combo of Ed, Hill, or Black down low allow Shroder to get to the rim and secure the game. Brilliant. Of course, if he was trying to win the game, then that's just scary bad coaching, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt here. I mean Jabari Brown got more minutes than Lin, JC more than Wayne, Kelly more than Hill, the only mistake was Black played the least out of all the bigs. Otherwise that's a solid night. I don't trust him to keep it up but I can't complain much about last night's game.
No we don't. The Sixers and the Knicks have the exact same record as we do over the last 10 games. Minnesota, Sacramento, and Orlando have lost only one more each. The only team that's out-tanking everyone is Detroit, but they were so far ahead that they're hardly a threat anymore.
Not liking our last 5 games of the season. Denver, Minny, Dallas and a back to back with Sactown to close the season.
We will lose our pick to Philly and Philly will get the #1 overall pick as well. The will draft Okafor, then Cauley Stein. They will sign Marc Gasol to a max deal. pg - scrub/scrub sg - scrub/scrub sf - scrub/scrub pf - scrub/scrub c - Gasol/Embiid/Noel/Okafor/Cauley-Stein
