Utah has been very good since inserting Gobert into the starting lineup. They'll be out for blood against us. Detroit is a better team and their bigs are going to feast on us. NY we probably win... Sixers is a toss up to me.

Sixers aren't in our next 5 though. ;) But I agree about it being a toss up. I think they are pissed at management for the stunt they pulled on getting up to the minimum cap numberso the difference wasn't distributed to the players...then they cut a player.

Not sure we can say anyone is "out for blood" against anyone when talking about these teams fighting it out for draft position. It's sort of like two puppies fighting. They wrestle around a bit, but never really do any damage. They just sort of pass out, or go to a corner and poop. :D

Embiid has apparently had a setback. Nash-esque.

The Knicks are getting crushed by thr Nuggets. At this rate they really might not win another game.

Yeah they are terrible in every way. Phil has a big job ahead of him.

Bummer. No help in the tank department tonight. New York just sucks. Minny just not good enough to get the tough wins right now.

I think we have a realistic chance at 3...most likely will stay at 4...but we have the potential to go to 2 if we lose BOTH games to the Sixers...anything can happpen guys but the best part is? We're developing young talent while maintaining the tank. Keeping every game close until the very end...this is great "experience" for Clarkson, Black, Ellington, etc. They'll learn from this.

I still would feel much better if that pick was somehow guaranteed...so i'm still holding out hope that slip to 2nd worst record in the league, that way we're guaranteed to stay in top 5.

My God, the Knicks are AWFUL. Phil and Fish are doing great job driving the tank... good luck with the triangle LOL.

    We got this Pistons.
Knicks bend over for the Jazz.
    Magic face the Pacers.

Hopefully tonight will be more helpful for the tank than last night.

It's top 5 protected. The top 3 picks are selected through the lottery drawing. So we'd need to finish bottom 2 for it to be guaranteed. We could finish 3rd, 3 teams 4-14 win the top 3 picks, we slip to #6 & Phoenix gets the pick.

Wins by ORL and NY with a LAL loss would be a great outcome tonight but I'm not sure it's going to happen. Detroit's best players are on in the post with Drummond and Monroe, but that's been one of our strengths as well. Of course Drummond and Monroe are much better than Sacre/Hill/Davis/Boozer/Black but still, if our bigs can at least keep them off the boards (something we are good at) then Detroit will struggle in this one...I mean, they start Tayshaun Prince and it's 2015.

However, the other side of this is that the Lakers are expected to be spenders this offseason and both Monroe and Reggie Jackson have been mentioned as targets. Hopefully they both show up extra motivated to show the Lakers that they deserve big money offers.

Also will interesting to see if Wayne Ellington, aka Jodie Meeks 2.0, can out-duel the original. Big game, the Lakers desperately need to lose, but that's going to be true of every game until their draft spot is locked up.

I think you guys are underselling Detroit. They're a better team than us. If Drummond stays out of foul trouble he's going to have 20/20 with a block or two and Monroe will probably have 18/12/4 assists.

    I think we lose tonight.

C'mon. Video surfaces of Embiid dunking between his legs and people start hammering Philly about their ridiculous tank. Then a day or two later, "a minor setback" occurs? This is Philly guys. They are the Masters at this. Ya'll been played.

Agreed. I don't think there's any injury, they just received word from the higher ups in the NBA offices saying they're receiving too much heat for not playing a young guy who is ready. I'm sure the NBA is getting sick of Philly's ****. Their tanking strategy is bad for the NBA.
