That is not exactly guaranteed. 2015 draft when Minny somehow got the first pick, we were second, and dead last Philly was 3rd.

Coach Nick has put up videos analyzing Fultz and Ball.

Ball looks like he would make our team must watch basketball. I admit I'd like that feeling again. Seems like some serious glue guy capability to make the parts more valuable than the whole, but can bring it all together.

I might have said that wrong, but hopefully you know what I mean.

It would be fun when things are going great (fastbreak basketball) but half court offense its going to take him a while to learn. And we think Russell's learning curve is steep...

Coach Nick made it look like it was easy to scheme on some things for ball, but it definitely looks like forcing him right to the basket, showing on pick and roll, and slowing the pace are his current kryptonite. He still looks smart enough to succeed even with those limitations, and with lots of repetition, I believe he could overcome those quickly.

Lavar got to you didn't he? What'd it cost him to get iron clad guarantee no poop gifs for Lonzo if he becomes a Laker?

Ball is a smart player no doubt, but he does not have the repetitions yet of running a lot of pick and roll action in the half court sets which is only one facet but is ran quite a bit in the NBA these days.

Ball will have a great mentor in Magic as well. Disappointed that Nash left for GSW when he retired as Dlo hasn't really shown that passing ability that he showed in college.

I agree with you in regards to the glue guy comments; in the words of Lebron, we need a f**king playmaker! Ball would be the Draymond for our team if it works out.

I know what you are getting at sorta in regards to play making, but when I think of Draymond Green I think of loud, vocal defensive monster who can defend positions 1-5. The clear emotional leader of his team. Don't think comparing him to Lonzo is correct at this point. haha

Yeah, but playmaker regardless of position. Ball finds guys and gets them the ball, and that is huge. When you know your guy is looking for you to get open, you're going to make cuts. We need movement badly.

This is all true and things our team does need to get better at that Ball would certainly help with. But I think our fan base is underestimating the time frame it will take for Ball to adjust to the NBA game and defensive schemes

    Depends. There's actually a 75% chance that some other team gets the #1. C-Bags have a 25% chance @ #1, and a 21% @ #2.

But also they have a 36% chance @ #4 which is what I'm hoping Brooklyn draws for them. If that happens our chances at #1 go up dramatically.
