At this point I agree. My mind could change this summer if George and his camp demand a trade to LA because then we're in the driver seat and we can give Larry a low offer.

But right now, I wouldn't even mind a trade of say Russell/Randle/Hou 1st to Indy for George, maybe throw in Black or Zubac or something. That leaves us with the harder working players and our Top 3 pick which is hopefully a guard we can replace Russell with. Then we start fielding FA meetings. That's my final offer of course and I'd rather give up less, but still give me a star and let's move f***ing forward. I'm sick of this losing and I'm sure Magic feels the same way.

Whatever kids are left over will also finally understand that this s*** is a business and their time here is short. Either figure it out or the league will move on.

This is what I've heard and I'm reading: Boston is in the mix for George. We know that; however, there are a couple of reasons why Ainge hasn't made a move for him. Ainge is A.) Reluctant to give up Crowder, Bradley, Brown, and probably hesitant to give up the top 2 pick. B.) He thinks they have a real shot at Hayward in Free Agency; so he figures, instead of giving up assets, let me take my shot with Hayward this summer.

If Hayward, opts to re-sign with the Jazz, then I think you'll see Ainge get more aggressive and go after George/Butler.

If Hayward signs with the C Bags, then we're full speed ahead in the Paul George sweepstakes with our biggest competitor being out of the market for him - best case scenario.

Either way, I think we'll end up some an impact player this summer; George or Butler...

I think if Boston blinks on going for George and focuses on Hayward, Magic will swoop in and grab George whatever that takes.

The best case is we get George and Hayward stays in Utah and Boston gets nothing! :Brows:

C Bags will most likely end up with the #1 pick. such a slap in the face

if they do keep the pick, i'm guessing it'll either be ball or jackson. what happens to russ if they draft ball though? move one to the 2?

Watched UCLA's game last night... Ball had a solid game by his standards. The Bruins were so-so missing Leaf's production. What stood out for me was that Ball let Aaron Holiday run the offense half (if not most) of the time during half court sets. It was due to Washington State slowing down the game as they hung in with UCLA until midway through the second half. Ball's playmaking impact was more during transitions for quick scores. This shows he can play with anyone without being selfish.

One of the commentators Sean Farnham did not mince words stating it is Ball's last game at Pauley. They interviewed his father who did not say anything outrageous and just talked about his college days.

Take away Balls points scored and he assisted on 14 of 23 FGs made. That is unreal, especially considering, as @gcclaker pointed out, he let Holiday initiate a lot of the offense.

Ball is a special player. Growing up and watching the Lakers in the mid to late 80s, I always wanted Magic to score 30+ points a game because I liked him more than Jordan. But as I understood the game more, I could see that Magic made everyone else around him so much better ... B-Scott an 18-20 ppg, Worthy 20 ppg, and AC Green a solid contributor.

To me Ball is Jason Kidd as Jason Kidd was compared to Magic. Rebound and push the fastbreak ... easy baskets kill the opponents. That's my bball 101 :)

I think as some said Hayward is key and all things point to him joining the C Bags and his old coach. I think the guy has potential to be a star and going to Boston ... sorry next great White Hope ... will take him to the next level. So Hayward to C Bags will eliminate a big competitor.

I like your offer of Russell/Randle/Houston 1st very much! As most of you know, I already gave up on DLo, the guy doesn't scream leader to me at all. He's just another player that loves the limelight of Hollywood. Randle, for me it's the timing, I don't want the Lakers to commit a large contract to someone I see that doesn't fit what the team is trying to do offensively. Tarik Black as an add in is fine but I would like to keep Zubac.

Sell it to Bird as him rebuilding the Pacers with a young core of Myles Turner/DLo/Randle.

Phoenix picks up a win against the C Bags. The KIngs should pick up a win. Orlando found a way to lose.

Losing today gives us a 2 game "lead" in the tankathon race.

Most important tank is this year. Tanking for 2017 and 2019 1st round picks. Not going to root for losses but we are well on our way to a "2 seed" and a disappointing season.
