Apparently a good chunk of Lakers staff plus a few players were at the game yesterday, sure looks like Fultz missed out.

If we lose our top 3 pick, let's hope Lavar Ball can drop his draft stock to where the Houston pick is going to be.

I caught the grin too. Many of the plays in the 2nd half I would just watch Luke's and Jesse's reaction to things Ball did because they were sitting right above where the UCLA bench was

Any who, it's certainly interesting to see how much of our office was at that game last night. I've heard or read Luke, Murmys(sp?), Magic, Ingram, and Russell all were there.

Keyshawn brought up a good point: Mitch wouldn't do it this way. This is the new look Lakers when it comes to recruiting. Go check things out together and see what's up.

Also key to note: player relationships are crucial in today's NBA when it comes to player movement. Introducing our kids to Ball early is important to see how they could all fit and how they could all work together not just on but off the court.

To be fair Mitch was at a few of the UCLA games this year. I know the USC at UCLA was one of them. But yes, I understand your general point about recruiting and actively as a team/FO going to these games.

Mitch was, but as far as I know he didn't bring people with him, especially the young guys. If he did, he kept it incredibly secret. This way you have (many more) Laker personnel front and center and engaged. We're part of the story and narrative in a very "Laker" way meaning dramatic and showy.

We might be tanking, but this is a reminder of how much we have to be thankful for.

What a disastrous stretch we've had. Glad Luke is on board, Magic is on board, Jim is gone, some new blood injected, and happy days are here again. Just a matter of time....

What's really impressive, with Luke, Russ, BI, Mermuys in the stands, his dad in the stands, his brothers, national media now ...... and just kills it on the floor. Can you say winner?

Lakers are awarded the #1 pick at the lottery!!!!

But the cards are provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers and read by Warren Beatty, so Lakers actually got the 4th pick and lost it.

First thing you're told is no photos and no social media when you work large events like this. You can be fired. This idiot may have cost Price Waterhouse their gig.

He can have a Steve Kerr kind of 3pt specialist role off some team's bench. Then transition into coaching.

If we don't keep our pick and they really want Ball (you could see why Magic would have a stiffy for him) .... Pelinka and Magic might trade one of our proven young guys like Clarkson and or Randle for that pick? With Rob and Magic and Rob's business shark reputation, hopefully a great deal for us?

It's really going to come down to what other things can he develop in the NBA. Bryce Alford will definitely be drafted and have a role on a team but if he wants to be great or do anything else he's got to improve other areas too (Ex: ball handling is something I know coaches always wish their great shooters would become better at).
