That shot was reckless and an awful attempt. He lost complete track of where the rim was. Then he follows it up with TERRIBLE clock awareness. He made it, hallelujah! But he got extremely lucky and he's got to stay under control under those bright lights.

I got a sense of that vibe behind AD's head pat. It was like, good job, but don't do that again.

It was a bad shot but we had missed 6 in a row, none of which he had taken. Actually I think AD had taken and missed most if not all of the last 6 shots but I’d have to go look at tape. He one of our guys who can actually get to the hoop and put pressure on the defense instead of just all jump shots. He missed the whole rim so the clock didn’t reset. He had no choice but to take that second shot or it would have been a shot clock violation and we wouldn’t have gotten any basket.

You mean the kind of injury that might be still in the back of lazy, not motivated AD's mind 2 games ago, as he comes back .... and doesn't have the luxury with where our team is sinking fast, to simplistically "sit out then and (sarcastically from you, 'nurse his injury') until he's ready"?

he had the most TO in the gm, it was nice he made the shot but he is quite careless with his dribble and taking care of the ball overall

You’re right. He had 5 TO’s, AD had 4 and AC had 3. For as much as he had to handle the ball last night that’s not horrible but he needs to work on protecting the ball for sure. He is a young guy being put under pressure because we lost Dennis to covid. He also shot 4-7 and had the best shooting percentage of the night except for Marc. He was able to score when we went on long scoring droughts. That last shot was a dumb move. I’ve admitted that. I think his first idea was to pass the ball to AC in the corner but he changed his mind. After he missed he had to take the second shot because there was 2 something seconds left on the clock. We won this game because of AD, Marc and THT.

when AD falls off a cliff like Evans, Ill give that rationale to you but as I simply stated AD effort was embarrasing in the Tor game and you cant tell me 1 day made all the difference

One of those TO's, McClemore should have been sprinting and instead when THT tried to hit him on a breakout he couldn't get to it. I'll take those kind of chances and another reason I don't like McClemore lol

One of his turnovers was a charge he tried to take also. So that’s 3 TO’s that were his fault on throwing the ball away. I’ll take that.

He has no left hand at all. I mean zero! I love the kid, but he has to develop a left hand around the basket. To completely contort his body just to get to his right hand is ridiculous. It’s amazing that a fundamental skill most kids have in junior high has alluded him this long. Shows just how much raw talent he has.

Oh, there are plenty of things he needs to work on... left hand is just a start. Defensive awareness is a priority too.

i used to say this--and i do think it's a limitation--but manu and harden had/have zero right hand, and they did ok. i know when i played back in the day, if i saw a guy couldn't use his off hand, it was over. like--he wouldn't score a single point. but these guys must be just immensely talented. and in this case (and harden's) 230 lbs and faster than you.

He is very raw. I think he needs to develop into a shooting guard. His ball handling, passing, leaves alot to be desired. He needs to work on 3 point shooting and jump shot in general in the off season. He is young with potential.

Man, sorry to disagree with you again today, after saying Gasol needed a competitive fire lit under his butt. Doubling down on “no left hand at all” with “I mean zero!”

I’ve literally seen him use his left when he had to like 3 times. He’s very good with the reverse layin and prefers it still, but your statement is just not true. He just turned 20 and probably by next year we’ll see it more frequently.

Agree though it demonstrates the raw talent he has to be able to contort that much just to avoid them, and still make them ... LOL. I realize you didn’t mean it to knock him. Touchy today I guess. Sorry. :D

THT is questionable. Hope he plays. Otherwise we only have AC to bring up the ball.

Come back soon. We are running out of people who can bring the ball up the court.
