Huh? What part of you is that which is willing to put up with the beatdowns from teams with dominant big men, for your "small ball" fantasy? Best of both worlds, baby.

I could see the upside with Nance. I'm starting to like him even more...

Sorry, I didn't watch much games post all-star. I only watched a few here and there. To me those were meaningless games because Kobe wasn't there so I was not motivated to watch. Anyways, I saw most of the games during the pre-season and 1st half of the season. From what I saw, JC played like what I had described. I'm just stating what I saw man. He was taking a lot of shots that weren't even good shots so I was never a fan of him. Like I said, maybe I will come around to liking him more this upcoming season but until I see him play, I can't be a fan of JC yet.

I certainly hope so if this youth core is gonna lead us to the path of a championship. :)

OK that makes sense. Yeah, JC was erratic and even spent 5 games in the D-league in the 1st half of the season. However, he transformed into one of our best players after the allstar break. I'm confident you'll come around to LOVE him.

Emplay was tweeting some stuff about how we haven't signed Russell and Nance(?) yet.

Said that it will likely happen tomorrow and mentioned they want to get the Hibbert/Bass/Sweet Lou stuff worked out first.

But he also mentioned that if we don't sign them by tomorrow (why wouldn't we?) they might not play. I would be very upset if I don't get to see them play tomorrow.

I've waited two weeks for D'Angelo and a year and two weeks for Randle.

Did you guys see this yet? 6 minutes of 5-5 footage of our summer league squad.

Wow...Randle grabbed the board and took the ball coast to coast twice. One was a strong jam.

JC's first step is epic. I love this kid's game. We can't sleep on this dude. I love what he brings to the table and he looks a hell of a lot better than Russell right now (limited footage). He had an awesome block in that clip. I really really really like this kid. He's going to be the best player on that SL roster. I'm calling it. And I'd love to be wrong because that means someone else absolutely studs out.

Russell had a Curry-esque step back 3 that he ended up missing. Something about him is off...his legs look weak like he doesn't have as much strength/footing in them as he'd like. Probably just a result of not playing real ball since the tournament. Probably also not used to NBA practices/conditioning, he looked tired.

I like what I saw from Nance. More athletic than I expected.

    Hadn't seen this, thanks.

Positives: Clarkson looks good, quick as ever. Nice floater in the paint, nice hustle offensive rebound and jumper, and nice recovery off a bad pass right into a ridiculous dunk. Randle and Black is an interesting combo of strong dudes, they were hustling after some boards and bumping guys off them, or being surrounded in Randle's case. 2 soaring put back dunks by Nance, looked effortless, especially for a guy that had the injury he had, no matter how long ago it was. Also, I like that we continue to keep some of these guys on reserve like with minor league baseball teams, like Buycks. Sure he's a D-League talent, but it's nice to have a PG you can sort of call up if you're in desperate need (assuming he continues to be a D-Fender and isn't signed by an NBA team, which I doubt).

Negatives: it looks like nobody taught Anthony Brown how to dribble yet. Twice, many sequences apart, he almost fumbles the ball away not even being closely guarded.

Thanks for sharing this video. I've already watched it about 5 times lol. This video is better than watching countless scouting videos. Randle and Black...wow! There's not gonna be many PFs that will be able to guard Julius Randle 1:1 and keep him from getting to the rack. He's just that quick. I think Kobe will love playing with these young cats. No way Kobe retires and leaves a talented core like this behind. They could rejuvenate him. We will be able to play small ball with the best of them. Having Hibbert gives us a chance to play bully ball too. This team has a versatility that we haven't had since LO was traded. I like Nance's energy. I know I just done alot of rambling, but I'm cautiously optimistic about what I see here.

JC's assist rate as a rookie was solid. 5.0. Lin, Price, and Kobe were higher, but no one on LA was above 6.4 I think. He distributed well.

randle moves so well for a guy with his power. Clarkson looked like a man playing with boys in that set of clips.

For Russell- Scott said that he was really tired after three straight hard practices from Byron so his shots were coming up short.

Conditioning will come, but he could find his way to the weight room.
