Every squad needs that one or two players that will do the dirty work. Hit the glass, set the screens, go for all the 50/50 balls...and not ask for shots. Green, Rambis, Grant so and for forth... Not saying Auguste is in the same conversation but he is of that ilk. He did have two of his shots swatted away last night...cost Russell two dimes.

Yeah the problem with Auguste is he's a little slight and not quite athletic enough... He is a poor man's Tarik Black and Tarik isn't exactly a world beater.

I'd love to get Auguste into camp and see if there's more he can do. He seems like a really good guy and a great locker room presence. I'd love to stash him on the D-Fenders as an "in case of emergency" big man call up.

Don't unfollow him. Just remind him that in a few months, the title will be in the rear view mirror, it will be 20 degrees and he will still be living in Cleveland.

DLo's sitting out tonight's game to rest since he's doing the Team USA thing. The worst point guard of all time will be starting in his place.

Really impressive games from Zu and Ingram. 6 blocks for Zu, 22 points from Ingram on 9 for 13! Everyone else . . . not so great.

[IMG] All of these guys can GTHO except for the following I'd like to see at training camp:

    Fall, Auguste

Besides of course, those under contract. None of the others did anything to make me think something was there worth pursuing.

    The Good
Great showing from Zubac and Ingram - both played a lot of minutes and still showed well.
Great showing from Russell and Nance. Very promising for this upcoming season.

    The Bad
The Browns. Man, I like Jabari's ability to score, but he does literally nothing else, and he's not a good defender. I still support AB's defense, but I'm worried that he can't do anything else. Can we have them do a fusion dance?

    The Questionable
We had a few bigs show well in limited minutes: Jovanovic, Fall, Varnado, and Auguste. Personally, I think Varnado's age/experience counts against him in this regard. If he's not clearly ready now, we can't afford to give him minutes to figure out if he's going to stick. I'd love to see us invite the other three to camp. I'm rooting for Auguste and Jovanovic, but a 7'3 dude deep on the bench is a luxury.

I'd steer clear of Munford for a camp invite. We can do better - either by taking a chance on a vet to see what's left in the tank or to pick up a younger PG who has a higher possible upside. Munford is a solid three-point shooter, decent passer, but that's about the extent of his upside.

Sooo much good info in there.... thank you. The thing that jumped out at me is Zubac smoking the field with 92% positional efficiency. The guy is smooth and coordinated already with great timing on top of that. But wow look at his other numbers to compare with the other guys on the team.

I started honking on him early from just those clips we had of him in that men's league at the end ...... but had NO idea he would be this good.

    Confirmed: Jovanovic is the savior.

For real though the numbers help support what I suspected: The Browns are not good. I suspect Jabari looks better in pre-season because he'll have NBA level spacing, but I'm still unimpressed. If we're desperate for such a player, he can be a Barbosa type for us but I'm not sure we're that desperate. Anthony Brown better hit some jumpers in pre-season or he'll never get back in an NBA game.
