I see instant offense so far, like lou/Crawford type but doesnt waste lot of time killing the clock, eithers shots it quickly or gets rid of it quickly with a pass. With Jerrys track record wouldnt surprise me if mccaw is big time asset of the bench and plays good mins right out the gate

McCaw also makes Russell look buff. I'm not sure how effective he'll be in the NBA out of the gate. This newfangled offense probably helps. There were plenty of teams that should have taken him, but I don't think ours is one of them. The C Bags come to mind.

Meh. Jerry West runs his mouth too much these days. Starting to get the Big Head.

LOL!. He should; He's the Logo! :). Either way, Jerry is probably one of the most humble people I've ever heard, and I mean that.

Hey crazy Metta said it ....send him a tweet. While you're at it see what the hell is going on with him right now and in his planning for what he's doing next year.

Jerry West also said this when he picked George Lynch, Anthony Peeler, Travis Knight, David Rivers, Mike McGee over Nance Sr.

I'm glad you said Lynch was drafted; I had to edit my post in the FA thread. I thought he was acquired through FA; Nope. He was drafted 12th.

Props to the Logo though .... Anthony Peeler was one of my most favorite players.

I remember Nick. I just couldn't remember George. I thought he came to us in Free Agency. My memory failed me.

Sooo ..... how do we stack up against Cleveland tonight.... they any good?

I'm expecting maybe a better start to the game (talking to you DAR), a little more cohesion from the team, and Zu hopefully getting his swag on a little more with Jessie and the staff green lighting him for more offense if it's available with his J. With the 2 1/2 day break allowing more practice time for everyone.

The Cavs summer league team has no 1st rounders on it, either this year or the year before. I have no idea how they beat a team with Jaylen Brown, Terry Rozier (who some were saying was the MVP of SL so far), RJ Hunter, James Young (they like him a lot), and their mid-1st rounder Yabusele (who they reached on).

The Cavs feature big names such as... Key Felder, Michael Stockton, DeAndre Liggins, and Jordan McRae. We should be a heck of a lot more talented, but obviously this team must have some good coaching. It doesn't hurt that Jordan McRae dropped 32 points on the C Bags so I guess we should do our best to keep him locked up.

Sweet!! Thanks realdeal. That's a nice peek further inside the Lakers camaraderie this year. Anyone that knows how to do anything well is sharing that with all his teammates and getting back from everyone as well.

"Hoosiers" atmosphere (for Pro team) going forward with the players the front office has put in place for this coming season and the future. And Luke hasn't even gotten to camp with them yet.

Thanks for being fired, Byron.

If there's one thing Mitch and Jim have done right it's empower our scouting department. Zubac and Ingram look like the hands down best talents at their respective draft slots. I'd gladly take Zubac over McCaw.

according to both west and the late dr. buss, this was a move dictated by the Dr. He was even quoted years later saying that choosing not to pick nance was a mistake, and it was because of that failure that he decided he would stay in his lane and let west stick to his gut when it came to drafting from that point on.

jerry west claims the pick still eats at him to this day
