I don't think he saved our season but he's giving some hope right now. He's got the talent to contribute to this team.
I know it's a low bar, but he's better than Baze. He's more important than Bradley because there aren't 9 other players who can play his spot. Keeping him save Ariza's legs if nothing else. I still think a Grant/Ariza/Stan Jo wing assault is our best chance to be respectable defensively and gives us the best chance (albeit small at this point) of competing for run in the postseason.
I like his confidence on defense against Harden, he looked like he welcomed the challenge, he looks to be a guy to make the roster for the season.
He’s a player we can use. He was always a player we could use, same as Ennis was. Signing 80 guards and no players like him aside from a 36 year old Ariza was always dumb. Small ball doesn’t mean guards, it also means multiple wings that can fly all over the court switching.
Can we just keep this guy? Because this is exactly the type of player we need. If we had him and Ariza from the start, we would not be in this kind of situation right now.
that's a senior citizen paleskin name though - kinda unusual Glad he's bringing some scrappy energy that the team needs.
For him to mention those two is interesting because neither are on guaranteed deals currently. Wonder if he knows something we don't. Otherwise thinking too much about defensive pairing when you have a guy for a week seems a bit futile.
Stanley can play defense. That already should keep him with the Lakers for the rest of the year. He played excellent through screens and staying in front of Harden.
you have to believe the only reason they're still on the team is because we might need them to make a trade. once trade possibilities are executed or extinguished, i expect both to be unemployed.
