we cannot blow this game tonight, esp with a few teams behind and ahead of us losing! Kings also face the Bucks next...and they got us on 2nd night of a b2b...that loss we had against them was still very costly cuz they won season series but we still have a shot to catch them if we just win tonight and win against them on Wednesday
2 games behind for the 6th spot. With 2 games more though. We can definitely squeeze in for a top8 at least. Schedule calms down a bit now, after Sac. That games is 3 days away, followed by another 3 days to start a home run of games with Warriors without Curry, Atlanta without Trae, Philly without Embiid (after a 4 day rest) and Indy. No b2bs. A ton of rest and we must win all games. We won't but we should really capitalize. Then we go on a 6-game road trip in the East (and Memphis) and come back for the final 4 games. This is it!!!
Tomorrow on our day off we're rooting for 3 home teams: PHO@Cavs DAL@ Bulls GSW@SAS (and Wemby should be back) One home team win is good, two is better, three seems improbable but you never know. We just have to take care and finally beat SAC now on Wed.
You 'n me 'n all of us, brother. Fighting, winning and rallying to rise to 8th so we can face DEN is like praying for your own death penalty before the jury even comes back. DEN has lost 20 games this year so far, but none of them to us. When they show up for a game against us they play for 48 mins like a team of unbeatable giants who are fast and shoot better the closer your guard 'em. As a Laker fan, frankly, they gimme the horrors.
Denver is going to finish 1, IMO. I think they have an easier schedule by just eyeballing it. OKC and Wolves is hard to predict who will finish 2 and 3. We want OKC in the first round. That's the matchup. Minnesota can be beat, but they'll make it tough. Denver will dispatch us in 4.
That's why we need to finish at least 8th so we can choose our 1st round matchup and bracket .. kind of Try to win the 1st play-in game if OKC finishes 2nd or lose it if they end up 1st .. it's risky but the right thing to do There might be a scenario in which we would play OKC in the 1st round then the winner of Sota-Pels in the WCSF .
Denver's schedule is indeed easier , OKC up 2 in the loss column as they have the tiebreaker though. Sota may fall to the 4th spot as Towns is out for the remainder of the regular season
Seems like the Clippers are locked into #4 and will probably get the Pelicans. That would be a pretty nice draw for them. The absolute dream for us is getting to #6 and OKC falling to #3. If we somehow manage to get into the half of the bracket with the Thunder and the Clippers and no Nuggets...I'm going to start getting some big ideas.
We'll make it, but probably won't create much noise in the playoffs. Too many bad matchups for us, sooner or later you run into someone that's too difficult for you. We can beat, with various degrees of difficulty: GSW, NOP, OKC, Dallas, Phoenix, LAC We probably can't beat: Sacramento, Minnesota, Denver We'd really need a perfect draw here to go far.
Spurs beating the Warriors twice woudl be very nice... Still hate that we lost to Sacramento last week - this game on Wednesday would have had a lot more meaning to it but ironicaly because the Kings dropped a game or two that they were supposed to win, and we won 2 games that we were supposed to lose...it's made wednesday interesting once again! We need to just focus on winning every damn game from here on out. No more stupid losses especially at home. We have to nail every home game from here on out...I think 6th is still possible...5th seed probably out of reach at this point but I'd love it if we aimed high and got there!
https://x.com/KellanOlson/status/1767262950015029637?s=20 Of course all 4 are out against the Suns...cuz why would they play against a team that we need to lose?
Was hoping CHI would put up a good fight over DAL in front of their fans, but DAL is up 62-42 at halftime, Luka already with 15/8/9. DAY-um!
None of these games worked for us. Luka torched the Bulls, PHO got 88 from KD/Booker/Beal and beat the shorthanded Cavs, GSW pulled away from SAS in the 2nd half. Back to the drawing board: tomorrow's another day off and here's what we want: MIN beating the Tenants in Crypto (although how much are the Clips moving up or down at this point?) Here's the one: Bucks need to wear out and beat down SAC in SAC, so that when we face SAC on Wed, they get gassed in the 2nd half. Need something to take the shine off their quickness pants. We gotta salvage a game with them in our season series. I'd like to see AD muscle Sabonis, but we've never really seen that so far. Who knows? That Fox/Monk layup drill we saw a week ago was a major drag, man.
Ham needs to match his Prince against Barnes not Monk or Fox or stop playing him if he can’t, otherwise it will be another lay up party
