No Ja, no Brooks, no Clarke, they likely just ran out of steam. Role players can only usually play that well for so long, when the game gets tight the stars win it, Clippers had both George and Kawhi tonight. Here’s hoping for the same when we play them Tuesday.

I'm worried about the Lakers effort level against Memphis , I hope the game will be taken seriously , won't be an easy win even without Morant on the floor

man, a phx/gs round 1 would be pretty great.

anyway, back to us: need to find a way to get two of the next three, then absolutely must take care of NO and houston. the NO game is the must-win of must-wins, which means we're like, 100% going to lose that one.

Fun to see the changes from when we started tracking this. This is all still very doable if we get some decent health.

It looks like we have a good case for the 9th spot. It would be great to get in the top8 for that extra game, we shall see.

Btw, sit down to read this. Sacramento has a very good case to take the 2nd seed. Unbelievable. Imagine finishing 8th, win that game and face Sacramento in the first round. That's my pipe dream

Anyway, I think the Suns will take that one, which would make the 7/8 spot less attractive

think that loss to minny might have tanked us with respect to getting up into the top 8. i suppose dallas is floundering a bit, and we might catch them. but the clips are going to get back to winning, imo, and the only catchable teams are utah and NO. and we have to keep okc and portland behind us, which is not coming easily.

our best chance is sneaking into the 8 spot via the 9-10 play-in and then facing denver, whom we often play pretty well. sucks that round 2 there is probably the winner of phx/gs or phx/lac. not interested in playing any of those three.

    Yep, agree with your prediction.

It would be a wonderful season if we get to play those guys in round 2 though

Minny may struggle when KAT returns though, as crazy as that sounds. It should be the team to beat to get in the playoffs
Gotta keep winning our games anyway, still too soon for big predictions

But a Clippers/Lakers for the last spot in the playoffs is in the horizon, would be the biggest play-in sell ever

Got to try to win 11 of these remaining 17 games. I think that's the minimum for us. 9 or 10 wins might be enough to get us in the playin but I'd like us to do more than just squeak in there. If we get Dlo back by the Toronto game and he's not too rusty I think we can do it.

yeah, it seems like 42 wins is the magic number to make the play-in (though i suppose you could lose a tie-breaker there). bpi's latest projections have us at 40 wins and finishing 9th, just ahead of NO in 10th with 39 wins. this would be tragicomic.

This won't happen because we aren't this lucky, but imagine getting to the 8 seed, beating the 7 seed in the play in and matching up with the 2 seed Kings. Dream come true.

I'm still keeping the perspective that the remaining 17 games are more about building chemistry/continuity for next season than making a real push this year. I hope we keep winning and get into the play in, but we're not beating Denver in a 1/8 matchup and we're not winning multiple playoff series without homecourt even if LeBron comes back 100% with some time to reintegrate (which I am skeptical of).

4 teams tied. 2 in and 2 out. Damn!

It can definitely happen to be out of the play-in, the top 8 or top 6 while tied, crazy season.

The fact that we're TIED with New Orleans when they were once #1 in the west and we were like 14th....it's one of the craziest turnarounds in history that I can remember. They literally went from potentiall pick swapping us 27th to 2nd pick...to now us lapping them up!

I think us and the Blazers will make it. We have to beat Memphis while they are weak. Sorry, but...

Pelicans fans, all five of them, should just stay off of Twitter at this point.

    Some important ones tonight:

    Lakers vs. Grizz, obviously.

6ers vs. Wolves: Philly should be about to take this one

GS vs. OKC: I'd rather GS win to keep OKC below us instead of hoping GS drops any. With Steph back, I don't see that happening.

Jazz vs. Mavs: argument to be had for either, but I'd rather Mavs win since we currently have the same record as the Jazz. Let's get our leapfrog on.
