Wait, why are we conceding the Clippers game? They don’t have George, they might not have Gordon, they’re not at full strength. Now is the time to beat them, get us into the locked in spots, push them to the play-in where they might even choke and not make it. We need to treat this game as a must-win, we get this one we are in major control of our own destiny here. Also screw the Clippers.

Yup. I want this team to win out. If they face the suns in first round, so be it. Send there butts home early after all the so called championship talk when they got durant. Tougher the road to the championship, the better.

because the way this season has played out , Lebron and/or AD are likely to get injured if they play .

i'm just conceding it because we haven't beaten them in several years. i'm sure the team will try to win, but for whatever reason, it's basically impossible for us to take a game against the clippers.

the game to watch now is phx at denver. if phx wins that one, they're locked into 4th and may rest guys for their last two games. with cp and kd's propensity for injury, i would definitely do this if i were them. and i would try to win the game against denver to send a message AND to preserve the ability to rest those two for the last two games.

It does if we fall back into the play-in, they're still in the mix for that... for now.

not sure if this is Trevor's thinking, but Kings are 2 games behind the Grizzlies and they're 2nd to last game is against the Warriors. Hopefully the Kings pursue the 2 seed and play to win against Golden State. A Kings win there gives us a little room for error in the final 3 games.

Really? They’re likely to get injured? Yeah, no. Obviously the teams have some data saying that playing two games in two days increases the likelihood of injury, but there’s no way it makes it likely. The lack of transparency with the data has always been the part of load management that drives me insane. I don’t doubt that the risk of injury increases marginally in that second game, but I want to know that number.

Play everyone today against the Clippers so long as LeBron and AD didn’t re-aggravate their injuries last night. The idea that playing two basketball games in two days is recklessly dangerous is ridiculous. The purpose of load management is to hopefully have guys available for more important games. This is the most important game of the year so far.

100%. The Clippers are dying to choke themselves into the play-in and we’re straight-up better than them after our deadline acquisitions and with no PG. Win this game and we might break them.

Exactly, we come in and win this game we are really in the driver's seat. To come in with any other mentality would be a disservice to the team. We might not win, though I think we will, but it should be a full effort. We need to keep that mindset that every game matters. We make our lives a whole lot easier by winning. Plus it is just a bad look to act scared or concede games. Kick the clips butts.

If we avoid the play in, then we will have 5 or so days to rest. That should be even more motivation for us to take care of business.

We had a scare last night but pulled it out. Guys have got to step up and get us another win tonight.

Play more guys tonight shorter stints to keep the energy up. Give Lonnie some run if Beasley’s not knocking them down.

This should be such a straightforward thing...

    1. start the regular 5
    2. insert Malik and run 4 - 5 plays for him to understand where he is
    3. depending on the above, skew the playing time to TB/Lonnie as the second SG/SF alongside AR/DAR
    4. limit Dennis pounding, unless 4th quarter of a close game
    5. forbid LeBron from shooting 3s
    6. forbid AD from even standing near the 3pt line
    7. let AR/DAR handle secondary actions if LeBron is off after 10 seconds tops
    8. put Rui in and tell him "cut, cut, cut"
    9. put Vando on Booker and sync his minutes; do not put AR on Booker, that's wasteful, even though he'd do fine
    10. Sub AD for Gabriel/Rui situationally, DO NOT RUN BRON at C under any circumstances
    11. win

We can kill so many birds with one stone with a win over the Clippers, it's redonculous.

Respectfully I would submit that HBK crosses up Snake so severely that he tweaks something new or re-tweaks something old.
