Never have, and never will be in favor of throwing games to get a “weaker” opponent.
Win out and play who you are dealt.

The Kings will have another chance to win the Pacific when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday at Smoothie King Center. They can win the division and secure no less than the No. 3 seed with one more victory or one loss by the Phoenix Suns.:ADeyeshift:............what if sacto chokes it away phx with 4games left phx could swap out w sac n take the division :LLLLLebronlaughing:

We are far and away the best team in the west. Phoenix might stretch us to six but that is about it. Lebron is playing his way back into game shape and AD is the best player in the league right now. Austin and D'lo are the perfect complimentary guards and Vando makes the other teams best scorer work hard for their points every game. Now we have Rui making life tough for them too. Malik is showing signs of life with his shooting. If he gets hot it is really over for everyone else. Dennis and Wenyen play that pesky style of defense and hustle. We are playing our best ball of the season. Even coach Ham is on a roll. Every team in the west has major weaknesses but us. Baring a major injury we win the west. We will have a few anxious moments but in the end we win.

Great to see someone just as optimistic or (bullish if you will) about our chances, as I am! I concur wholeheartedly, we also have a legitimate shot at the chip, not just getting out of the West IMO.

    Standings
    6. Warriors 41-38
    7. Lakers 40-38
    8. Pelicans 40-38
    9. Wolves 39-40
    10. Thunder 38-41
    11. Mavs 37-42
    12. Jazz 36-42

    538 projections
    Nets > Wolves
    Pelicans > Kings
    Lakers > Jazz
    Warriors > Thunder

    If Projections Hold:
    6. Warriors 42-38
    7. Lakers 41-38
    8. Pelicans 41-38
    9. Wolves 39-41
    10. Thunder 38-42*
    11. Mavs 37-42*
    12. Jazz 36-43*
    * - Lakers clinch better record.

Lakers would clinch at worst 9th seed.

So then, we can finally say: "Hey, we made it!"

Of course, we would still have to fight hard in the play-in, but before the trade we weren't realistically even making the play-in, so it's a huge improvement. I do think that Bron, Dlo and AD would appreciate a few days of extra rest if they just made the playoffs outright.

We are winning it all. I have looked at the bucks and alka seltzers. I like out match ups. We beat either in six. Lebron will be back in full form and AD is just too much for anyone player right now. With our balanced line up you can't double him. You can but it won't work out well for you. Coach Ham seems to be getting a handle on lineups and rotations. Making some good play calls. I don't want to be that guy that spoils the ending of a movie but we are winning.

pels games continue to be the most important non-laker games. looking like we might meet them in the 7/8, and home court would be pretty useful there.

Clip show is also 41-38. I realize they are NOT worthy to be on your chart, but wondering if you intentionally left them off and how they project, etc. Thanks.

Was just focusing on the teams that were close, but, yeah. If the Lakers beat the Clippers AFTER those above results...it's tight.

Tennants, will throw away the game against us, to avoid PHX in the first round. Book it ;)

Sexton hasn't played since 2/15, so it only makes sense that he's back for this one. He and THT will be their offense tonight.

Without Markkanen, JC and Kessler; no excuses for this not to be a blowout. Maybe Damian Jones will get some PT for Utah.

Yeah, well, if the Tenants do that, and if GS manages to lose one of their last three games, then we can just tank-ahem, I mean . . . we can rest AD, LeBron, and DLO for our final game against the Jazz. You know, because something something sore feet. ;)

A loss there would result in:

    5. Clippers
    6. Lakers
    7. GS

That said, I'm still in the "just win every game and play who we play" camp.
