Memphis's defense with Brooks sans Morant is frightening. They rotate the f*** out of switches and off penetration to cover the 1st and 2nd passes super quick. I'd try to swing Morant for AD if I was that team lol - he kind of f***s up their defense but gives them closer.

Testament to the Lakers defense how good it's become since the tradeline as the Lakers D was just engaged and physical with Memphis: with the way all these teams seem to be sacrificing defense for offense, Lakers have a real shot at this if they get a little lucky for once with the injuries. AD is DPOY calibre covered by Vando who is an All NBA type - throw in Lebron, Shroeder, Reaves, Brown and the Lakers seem to have one of the few teams that can actually claim to be a 2 way team nowadays

We have a favorable schedule and are playing well. I think with DLO back we can continue our current push and give LeBron more time to rest.

All things considered we are in a good spot to make a run.

    Three significant games tonight

Lakers vs. Raptors: feel a little uneasy about this one, hoping DLO coming back will push us over the edge.

Blazers vs. 6ers: no reason Philly shouldn't be able to win this one. That'll help distance us from POR

Nets vs. Wolves: hello Brooklyn, let's get it! Will probably be close, Minny is favored. Maybe Bridges can go off and secure this one.

yeah, want nothing to do with portland in the play-in round. dame goes nova and you go home, no matter what you try. like playing steph curry's davidson in round 2 of the tournament or something. you'd beat them 5 out of 6 times...

Kyrie's status will depend on whether the game interferes with his next rant on social.

POR-PHI game going down to the wire. The Blazers had a comfortable lead (+21!), but they melted in the final 2-3 minutes. Philly with a chance to win it here...

...Embiid hits, Sixers lead by 1. 1.5 seconds left for Lillard to do something...

...but he doesn't and the Sixers win.

Thought they could've called a couple fouls on that final play, sending either Ant or Conley to the line. Glad they didn't.

Here's what those in our reach have left this month:

Minny - Hawks, Cs, Bulls, TOR, NYK, Hawks, GS, Kings, Suns, Lakers
Losses to Cs, NYK, GS, Kings, Suns, us, and split with ATL.
I only have them winning 3 of their next 10

GS - Bucks, Suns, Clipps, Hawks, Grizz, HOU, Mavs, 6ers, Minny, NOP, SA
They're too volatile to predict right now. 5 of those are on the road. If I had to guess, they win 7 of 11

Mavs - Grizz, Grizz, SA, Lakers, Grizz, GS, CHA, CHA, Indy, 6ers
All depends on how long Luka is out, but that is an E-A-S-Y stretch. Grizz 3x and Charlotte 2x. Should win 6/10 if Luka gets back.

Clipps - NYK, GS, ORL, POR, OKC, OKC, NO, Bulls, Grizz, Grizz
Tough couple right in front of them and then it's easy street the rest of the month. Really need Russ to step up and have fun being Russ. Guessing they drop to NY, GS, POR, and split OKC. Winning 6 of 10.

And the Lakers are winning 8 of the next 10.
