Agreed.... shoots the ball well. D League or NBA. Considering his future on line when he goes out there every time he doesn't seem bothered by nerves.
He has been a very efficient shooter - but he doesn't do it much. 8 shots per 36 minutes? There are only 16 players 6'6" and under who shoot fewer than 9 times per 36 and have played at least 500 minutes (and so are relied upon to contribute). Many of them are veteran "control/cool head" type players: Iggy, Dre Miller, Steve Blake, Hinrich, Ronnie Price, Thabo. Brown averages 2.2 boards and 2.2 assists per 36. He averages 1.0 steals and 0.2 blocks per 36. PJ Tucker does significantly better in REB, STL, and BLK. Dellavedova better AST/REB. Garrett Temple better AST, REB, STL. Bazemore: better rebounds, steals, blocks. Shane Larkin: better rebounds, assists, steals. Prigioni: better ast, rebounds, steals. Allen Crabbe: better rebounder, shot blocker. Napier: better assists, rebounds, steals. Elijah Millsap: better rebounder, thief, shot blocker. I'd actually argue that Jabari is outplaying only one of those players: Exum: better assists. Quick summary: these are limited minutes for Jabari, so when I say "better" I mean better in terms of actual performance so far, but all he has done is shot a good %. 12.2 points per 36 is not very good; 211 NBA players are at 12.2 or below. 272 at are 12.2 or above. This makes Brown's scoring rate very average. I bet if I sort it by wings, he's far below average. I'm not down on Brown. I think he could develop into a scorer/shooter, but his upside might be like Wayne Ellington.
Oh I don't think he's a star or anything really special. I just think he's an NBAer that's all. Ellington might be a good comparison actually.
It's early I think that in time he'll end up doing some things better - like rebounding. Even being a better rebounder would bump that overall number by bumping his Hustle Efficiency. He might even become more comfortable shooting more frequently (he did in college and in D-League).

I'm surprised Lin's guard numbers are still better than Clarkson's. My eye test says Clarkson has surpassed Lin as a player or at the very least caught up to him.
I looked on Page 1 of this thread for some kind of template I could use again, but couldn't really find one. Trodgers can you breakdown some of these numbers again as far as what they mean? I know you said 90+ is elite. Are you calculating these or finding these numbers on a site?

Doesn't worry you, trodgers, that now surely you're on one of the King's lists? Sure is damn odd that early in the season when he should have been "reasonably" fresh and rested, he was sucking compared to prime LBJ. Takes a break to go all the way to Florida just to get his head straight, joints warmed up after the frigid Cleveland cold, whatever ...... except the seemingly big PED question, and comes back looking ever since like LeBron of last 4 seasons. Must have been some great mental and physical exercises his trainer of choice put him through to last through this season and the playoffs.
