It's depressing that we were saying the same thing around the same time last year...

I thought we "were all on the same page with how long a rebuild would take" [IMG]

I remember wanting Norman Powell in the 2nd Round. He gave a great interview last summer and seemed to impress coaches. I think the Lakers didn't like his fit and figured Brown would make more sense.

    Welp.

Looks like a modern NBA player to me.

If only he wasn't undersized. His defense is a question mark and his height is a liability.

I'm a little worried that Heild is OJ Mayo 2.0 I won't lie.

I love his shooting ability, but you might be right.

I remember thinking the same of OJ. If we draft Heild I'll be excited because it'll mean the FO sees greatness in him, but I'm a little skeptical right now.

Bender has apparently garnered serious interest.

I haven't watched much of Bender, honestly. I read a list of his strengths and weaknesses. That's about as far as I have gotten...

I've seen a little video and I honestly wasn't terribly impressed, but Mitch went and scouted him personally in Europe. I'm hearing all kinds of weird comparisons. I'm hearing anywhere from Porzingis to Kirilenko to Mirotic. I'm hearing he's a mobile 7 footer who can shoot a little and has a decent amount of athleticism. I hear he's surprisingly quick laterally for his size. I've been skeptical since day one, but he's up there on the list anyway.

Powell and our very own JC are proof that Seniors and Juniors should be given more than a cursory view during workouts. Too many draft picks are wasted based on potential alone.

Bender will most likely be a scrub...I have seen one game of him and that was my gut feeling.

If we can't get Ingram or Simmons, we should definitely trade the pick. If we can get Ingram or Simmons we should shop the pick around (but not be desperate).

Bender sucks. And I've seen more than 1 game of him.

the little bit I've seen of bender worries me, but what I'd seen from porzingis last year worried me, too. I hope the experts have been burned enough by eurobusts to know the difference by now. but even with thousands of hours of scouting, even picks 5-10 in the nba draft have pretty decent bust potential.

Don't know who this is, but Larry Nance and Anthony Brown liked this tweet.

Knowing nothing about Bender, I'm just assuming he's gonna bust because I feel it's unlikely we get two Euro studs in back to back years. In fact, he's probably being overhyped simply because of Porzingis' success.

CJ took three more years after college to become a legit starter maybe a future all star...

I know everyone is thinking Randle can be our Draymond, but Nance might be the more likely of our pfs to fit into that mold. He's got a longer wingspan, a better natural outside shot. He's more active defensively. He has MUCH better natural basketball instincts. I really like Nance and I think he makes Randle a little more expendable in the right deal. If Indy wants the #1 or #2 pick and Randle for George, because of Nance, I think we can easily do that.

Totally disagree. Just look at the mindset of each of those players coming out of college. Look at their backgrounds of where they started, how they went through college, and how they're entering the NBA.

    Night and day.

How they might turn out in the NBA.... possibly. But I look at how Hield has improved all 4 years. Junior to Senior year he made the biggest improvement. Mayo, what was he a freshman when he came out? I don't remember for sure but I know he wasn't a senior. OJ had a little bit of an ego/attitude problem and by all account Buddy is beloved by everyone.
