    I don't know. Russell and simmons would both be under 20. Durant's in his prime. LeBron wanted wiggins moved for love, and Durant's already playing with westbrook. now, cousins + derozan in addition to whatever youth remained would maybe get him to the table.

    Durant knows what it takes to build a team from one of great promise to great payoff. As a rookie, Durant's Sonics won 20 games, but they started stockpiling talent: Durant and Jeff Green.
    2008/09: win 23 games, add Westbrook.
    09/10: win 50 games, but no shot at the title. Add Harden and Ibaka.
    10/11: win 55 games, first real shot at a title, and it's a long shot. Their core players: Durant-Westbrook-Ibaka-Harden-Sefolosha.
    11/12: Make it to the finals. Added Reggie Jackson. Tweaked their rotation: Durant-Westbrook-Harden-Ibaka-Perkins.
    12/13: Steamroll to 60 wins. Durant-Westbrook-Ibaka-Sefolosha-Martin are their top players in terms of minutes.
    13/14: WCF with Durant-Ibaka-Jackson-Sefolosha-Lamb as top minutes played (Russell injury).
    14/15: 45 wins b/c of injuries. Westbrook-Ibaka-Morrow-Adams-Waiters top minutes played.

    Durant knows that you need talent, health, and defense. I wonder where LA is in the grande scheme of the rebuild. When we look back at this, will this be year 1? Year 2? Has it not yet really begun?

    He can score however he wants, is a good rebounder, passes well, decent handles, and his length and quickness are impressive on D. He's also pretty strong despite the frame. He's good.

    Ok, so I got a little bored, and did some research on 'pre-lottery' positions for the last 15 years, and I did a comparison of how many times the pick fell out of the top 3 when having the worst record and the 2nd worst record for teams going into the lottery.

    So, if you had the worst record, the pick fell out of the top 3 a total of 4 times: 2001, 2006, 2007, and 2009.

    Now, if you have had the 2nd worst record, the pick fell out of the top 3 a total of 10 times: 2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015.

    Big difference.
