Maybe Kobe can teach Kelly some of Pau's game and how they worked together. Up to whatever skill level Ryan can reasonably handle. I'm sure Kobe was planning on spending time with Randle, what's he got to lose at this point .... can only help. Assuming Kelly "wants it" badly. I think he does and think he's a competitor.

Ryan Kelly said his right hamstring tightened up on him. Says he hopes he can play Sunday.

    On Mike Bresnahans twitter.

Ugh, more bad news. He looked good out there while he was on the court. Bummer to hear about his hammy once again.

That's great. Best news we've heard in ages. So good. Can't wait till everyone's lying in a broken heap.

Yeah he looked good in there. What a treat to see a skilled, 7' player on our side to go with the 6'10" guys. I was really amped about what Kelly would bring this year after having a full summer to work, unlike last year. And then boom Byron runs them ridiculously the first day and injures Kelly. Yeah, yeah I know he hurt the other one too and that's on him I guess. But I tell you if we had Swaggy, Randle and Kelly right now this season would be looking a heck of a lot different. And yes, I AM "master of the obvious".

Cmon Kelly, emerge for us, praying for you the white big nasty with undercover stretch shooting skills! QUESTIONABLE for tonight, I think he plays.

    Rotoworld, citing Eric Pincus's Twitter:
Rotoworld's looking at it from a fantasy POV, but Kelly's return is good for the Lakers.

Hope Kelly can emerge for us this year for a role player going forward. If he plays tonight, it would be a good test against Diaw/Bonner, possibly Duncan.

I think he can play that type of stretch player if theyre running true princeton type plays because he can shoot, but you think we can rely on him to guard the opposing teams SF? If Randle was healthy I would say yes on offense cause than on D Randle could try his best to take SF while Kelly playing down low.

I think this team sucks enough that almost any player we have can be important if they seize the oportunity. We have so many lesser known and minimum contract players that some of them have to be important. And that's not a knock on Kelly, I genuinely mean he can definitely make an impact with this team if healthy.

We badly need a shooter, and he can shoot. He also has some nice versatility to his offensive game besides that, like he can fake and drive and finish. There are also the blocks realdeal mentioned, he's not a rim protector, but he gets some nice blocks. Also not a great rebounder, but there's always some hustle boards he can pick up. I'm looking forward to his return, I hope he can stay healthy.
