Fatigue is real issue here - he just doesn't have the gas if he's your main engine on offense. Reason I'm still intrigued with Lavine - feel with him and Reaves that would let Lebron coast more on offense and allow more effort on D/glass. (ala Goodrich/West allowing Wilt to do whatever else was needed)

i think jj trying to use a lot more screening of screeners and off ball stuff than either vogel or ham can help us not rely on lebron to create offense all the time. well, that and trying to use AD like a primary offensive option.

Yeah I think AD will average the highest ppg of his career. He's at 28.1 and I think he'll probably go above 30

Whoa .... pump the brakes a bit on that. While playing the kind of defense he plays?

I think our offense will have more flow that will benefit AD, because he can attack the open spaces. He will shoot more 3s too. And JJ seems to be a guy who doesn't let the basic stuff not happen, like not letting AD not touch the basket for a whole quarter.

I think our stars will increase their usage because they are our strongest players, which benefits them and opens up the others. The Bron/AD P&R have been something we have only used in specific occasions for no reason and I think we will see it more often

Still .... 30 points a game average is a tall order, but of course would like to see it happen. Besides .... after being an iron man the last season and a half plus the Olympics .... first random s*** happens common basketball injury he gets, being the dominant best defensive player in the game PLUS all that scoring and athletic effort required for it above the rim and on the perimeter .... it will be GAME ON here with the "street clothes", "injury prone" crowd. :D

i think he could average 30 with a center next to him, which i feel like is what pika is leaning on.

my estimate would be closer to that 27/28 area, though, without any defensive dropoff. you're talking 3-4 more possessions a game run to get him involved, and i think jj is pushing for that.

again, we don't have the personnel to really open the floor for him to be a true high post offensive fulcrum. but we don't have to just ignore him if he can't get deep post position.

If nothing else, I think JJ is going to make sure he doesn’t go 8 minutes between touches. The coaching last year in that regard was abysmal.

Rui looked really good - just have to be consistent. JJ has to convince him he's playing with the Japanese national team lol

Really liked what I saw from Rui tonight. He was aggressive and has to keep being that way if we want to win.

True. But Hachimura can fill the stat sheet across the board at some level.

Yeah like night and day how he felt he had to play coming off the bench just to get even random minute assignments from Ham after his decision not to start him rather than Prince .... vs Redick looks like telling him to go after it he can be a much better player.

"Rui looked big, strong, athletic, and most importantly AGGRESSIVE last night."

Rui just has to remember how big he actually is, and use it to his advantage.
