This is about a fair price, was hoping for 15m, he was probably hoping for 20m - somewhere in the middle.
another 3 year fully-guaranteed contract along with Vincent's. So... something happening with Bron, I would guess.
I honestly think they’ve just finally realized continuity is the way to go, actually building something year to year is what is winning lately. Even when we won in 2020 a number of those players had been here the previous season. Continuity and tradable contracts haha.
i'm not going to quibble about 1-2 million in annual salary difference, so this is a win. i saw 4/64 tossed around earlier today, and i didn't squirm. slightly more at one fewer year might be better, tbh.
Love that Rui is back and that's a pretty darned good deal. I thought he might need $18 million per year, so glad it's a tiny bit less.
It is nice to see continuity building. I think a lot of this is about the types of players we are getting now. Much more comfortable giving a two way player with a lot of upside a three year guarantee than these stop gap guys we have been getting.
I am all in on that continuity and team building right now. The team is crazy deep now with a great mix of vets and youth, and our size is perfect for the modern NBA. We’ve improved now, just need a big, plus bring back Tristan. The more I think about everything that’s happened, the more I like it.
Rui really seemed to start growing as a player as the season went on, and I don't think he is done yet. Really happy we have him back.
So according to Buha Rui is probably going to start next year? I'm a little surprised but I like it. LeBron can be in full facilitator mode with DLO/Reaves/Rui/AD in that starting unit.
