LOL I know. There was this one "slick" dude from a South American country walked up on stage and I overheard on the headsets from one of the other camera guys something like oh no I remember this guy. This guy had this smile plastered on his face while he was speaking in this non stop energized language not from here. True story he never stopped to take a breath once like in over 20 minutes and was right above me while I was covering the top seller tables in front and the audience. I came to hate him in that time and wanted to climb on stage and hit him in the face.
Don't sleep on the coolest and most personable guy in the room ... Luke Walton. Your next coach whom everyone loves playing for.
My worry is that other GMs and Team Presidents around the league see the Lakers rising again, and will try their best to not do us any favors.
Which is precisely why I don't understand the still hate for the trade that preceded what we were able to put on the floor this year in personnel and allowed getting rid of the near impossible salary to get rid of .... of Moz or Deng .... without getting bent over and hurt. We shouldn't have done it then? When Lopez was coming back and with his expiring contract? We should have waited till summer when George or Bron says I want to be there make it happen? That would have been the best possible time to attempt to move Mozgov?
No one does any favors in this league. Every move made is because it's the best move they could find, regardless of with who. Otherwise Cleveland doesn't trade Kyrie to it's biggest Eastern foe, whether he would have left for there in FA or not. atm, we aren't viewed as a threat by anyone vying for playoff berths and GMs will do whatever it takes to keep their jobs another year. Helping or not helping the Lakers is not a concern if it lets them get better. They'd much rather hamper someone in their division and/or someone in their immediate path to success than lil' old us, if they are even in the rare position to hamper. Even Mitch could work with Memphis on the Pau deal when there were probably other suitors to be had. Besides, what a thing to worry about. If it were true what could we do about it except not rise again. By the time some GMs are worried about our rise, it will be too late. And I am confident in Rob's abilities to make relationships with other GMs and wheel and deal. He did great with the Brooklyn deal. GMs better worry about themselves and bettering their own teams no matter who that means dealing with.
I don’t agree. The whole multiple Lakers fines for things other GMs do on a regular basis wasn’t a coincidence. Besides that, it’s pretty well known even in recent history that some GMs won’t do business with the Lakers unless they are clearly winning the trade by a mile.
We see Magic and of course Luke out on the court at times shooting the ball. Rob with his solid runs every morning and the herbalife products looks in the pic above in his shorts to be in great shape. Wonder why we never see him shooting around with the guys. GMs ....that would be beneath them? OK for team presidents?
Yeah, and there's this video labeled something like "NCAA Vault" with the same poor quality. Shame...
