Seeing your comment first before sirron's in Rob's thread and as a glance trying to get back to sleep I thought it was about Rob and Magic ... who needs him some Herbalife.

    :Ingramsawinglogs:

If anyone wonders why all the Herbalife references .... 3 or 4 years ago shooting for my large event company I was one of 4 cameras for four days and right next to the stage, of a freaking Herbalife worldwide convention put on at the Microsoft Theater across from Staples in LA. Live. Rob looks like one of the executives or top earners in the "pyramid".

I would love to know what "All NBA players" before (rookie) and after (stud in the league) photographs they gave to each player on the roster. Hart for instance. For sure. I'd bet Fish physique could be one for Hart. Allowed Fish to compete at high physical level for many years.

I don’t really read that as a subliminal at all... in fact I just read it as an endorsement for his friend and old agent.

First thing, I didn’t say Kobe wasn’t into subliminals. I said I didn’t read that as subliminal against the old regime, but rather supporting his agent and good friend.

Secondly, the video you posted isn’t a subliminal message either - that’s clear as day. A subliminal message is one that isn’t easily perceived. “Do something and do it now” is about as clear as one gets haha!

Actually I agreed with you and it's right there in my post. Then I followed it with proof that Kob really aint with subs.

However, it's not like he was all in with the previous regime. That clip showed that.

And when the guy that drafted him was gone (Logo), it's not like he practiced the ridiculously overblown "In Mitch We Trust" mantra...The trade demand to Pluto said as much.

Then there's this wonderful display of displeasure.

Essentially, I agreed with you cuz Kob's never been into subs.

Sorry man, I’m not the best with reading haha! Yeah I agree with everything you said.

I think with a cat like Kobe, unless your competing or right there every year he will cause hell for your organisation. I miss that kind of drive. I hope our young guys develop an ambition to really be the best they can be.

I love the tenets Pelinka talked about.

    Move Early
    History Swerves
    Play with Pace

I believe in all of these things 100%. I am with this FO to the end right now. I have full confidence they're going to make amazing pitches this summer.

So many great quotes, here are my favorites:

^ I love that Luke empowers his players like this. I'm sure it comes from a few coaches but I know Kerr often does this in Golden State.

Magic, Rob, and Luke are ready!

I fear for any free agent that gets in a room with Rob and Magic. If Magic doesn't clobber them with sheer legend and personality Rob will drop some Biblical bombs "You're like bread that fell from heaven" "Like the Israelites were led by Moses, you can lead us to the promise land" on them.

Whatever they do, it'll be better than Mitch "Have you tried the churros at Staples Center? Super, just super" Kupchak.

I'm really excited by Rob. Magic is Magic and he is what he is, to the city, to the league, to the lakers. But Rob has inherited a good situation and made it a ton better - we have a developing young nucleus that is being properly guided, the most cap space in the league and a team on the uptick who will probably make the playoffs regardless of what happens this offseason next year.

I'm certain Rob will lead all that to a head and this is the summer we round the corner. He strikes me as someone with multiple scenarios mapped out with his knowledge of team's rosters and the cap and his feel for our reputation in the league. If we carry out any of his plans with signing a FA, or two, or trading for one, it'll just be a pleasure for us who stuck through half a decade of mediocrity since the fall of the Lakers to the Mavs in 2011.

I used to have to run camera at events like that. Some dork walks up to the stage and gets a raucous ovation like he's freaking Kobe Bryant. He just happens to be an all-star at selling special socks or something.
